Tips on how to stay safe on Social Media:

1. Install a good antivirus software in your laptop and phone.

2. Turn off your location. Some sites even keep track of you activities in offline world, but turning off location will at least do the least possible loss.

3. Don’t forget to setup Security Answers.

4. Never leave your account logged in. You are in a way inviting cyber criminals to hack your account or act as an impostor.

5. Always Check and Analyze your post before posting. Just ask yourself "Does the world need to know this?" Try not to put too much revealing photos online. For example, I have once seen a person posting his daughter's photo online where the school name was clearly visible on the bus. I have also seen a picture of someone in café, whose credit card was lying on the café-table and all numbers were visible after magnifying. Don't share the Birthday celebrations photos of your kids too. Thus, giving personal and private information to everyone. Try to blur such minor but important details before posting a photo.

6. Always try to create strong password for a site and Keep those passwords in a good password manager. Try to change it in regular interval of time. Never ever set same passwords for multiple sites.

7. Take one more step immediately and set up Multi-Factor Authentication for all social media platforms you are on. In fact, MFA is a best approach wherever you can use.

8. Don't use anyone else's mobile, computer and laptop to access your social media accounts.

9. Don't use Free Wi-Fi to access to access the social media.

10. Use a VPN service always if you need to access the social media on a network which you don't own or manage.

11. Please stop clicking on useless posts like "Check your death day', "Find which celebrity do you look like" and so on. Remember, these posts are click-baits and they want you to click on them. I am sure that you really don't care what that 80's film-star look like now, or what unbelievable thing some person did to some other person. Not only this, even the posts which are reposted by your friends and other random posts can often be alluring when you are wasting time on Social Media, e.g., Facebook. Resist the urge!

12. Please read Terms and Conditions of major Social Media site carefully. I know its bit difficult and time consuming task and especially boring, but at least have a look over these once in a while. Even once a year will help you…

13. Review privacy settings in your account on frequent basis, as they are making changes all the time. Don't rely on default settings. Switch off or disable setting which you don't like there…You may need to limit to your social media information. Facebook and Twitter, for example, allows you to control who sees what and to some extent what information they gather about you. If you don't know yet, then know that recently Facebook introduced so big of changes in the privacy policy of WhatsApp that very serious concerns have been raised world over. All because, WhatsApp wanted to enforce the "Accept or Get Out' approach to its users (2021).

14. If you are comfortable, then you can go ahead and choose not to share your real 'Date of Birth'. Your DoB is a very valuable information. Similarly, you don't tell a stranger in the street what is the name of your pet, or where you were born.

15. You should also access your profile from an outside account or while logged out to see that --How much information about you is being shared or made available at different levels by them.

16. Why not to catch up with real friends the old-fashioned way, i.e., via phone calls, reunions, in-person visits, etc?

17. To be safe online for financial transactions, you can set up a completely different bank account and only put money in when you want to make an online purchase. If you do that, then even if a breach happens at Social Media platform, there is a built-in buffer between your main finances and the thieves.

Please let me know of what tip you think can be more helpful to you.

For example, if you like tip, say #10, then write 10 in the comment section.

You can leave your open comment too.

New ways of working in a post-pandemic recovery: It’s all changing, and for the better
The way that we will work has potentially changed forever. The way that we will interact with companies has also changed. Our customers have even greater expectations for rapid service and instant and meaningful interactions over digital platforms, and that is what is driving a new wave of innovation in cloud contact centre services.

It's no secret that we're working from home, and that we're likely to continue to do so into the future. According to Gartner, close to half (41 per cent) of employees are likely to continue working remotely at least some of the time into the future, even as concerns for social distancing ease. Furthermore, 82 per cent of company leaders plan to allow employees to continue to work remotely, at least some of the time.

Underpinning that transition has been the need for enterprises to accelerate their digital transformation strategies, so that they can adopt a "cloud-first" approach to work. For many companies this was done through gritted teeth, but now that they've done it, they're discovering a new world of opportunity opening to them. Enterprises are now realising that all this transformation can also be tuned towards delivering a superior customer experience. "Many changes brought on by Covid-19 are starting to look permanent as customers, workers and companies actually prefer the new ways of doing things," a Wall Street Journal report states. "The shift to Internet commerce, already underway before the pandemic, will stay. Companies who sent workers home may keep the arrangement because it can raise productivity and cut costs."

At Optus, we have been right in the trenches with our customers in finding ways to deal with COVID-19, and we have been able to help our hardest-hit enterprise customers in building strategies that have assisted them to cope with the disruption.

What we noticed right at the start of the disruption was that a large portion of organisations did not have adequate business continuity plans in place to support remote working for the majority of their workforce, so had to scramble to adapt and implement solutions to support the impacts of COVID-19. From what we've seen, contact centres were particularly impacted with this change and we helped many of our customers to rapidly implement solutions to support remote agents.

However, there's a positive side to this. Now that COVID-19 has proved that employees can be just as productive working remotely with modern collaboration tools and secure network connectivity solutions, we're advising our customers that the next step, and areas for improvement, include having a more comprehensive strategy for their business continuity plans. So far, what we've seen is that our customers are very receptive to that.

Gartner, for example, is now predicting worldwide IT spending to hit $4.1 trillion by 2021, an increase of 8.4 per cent from 2020, as enterprises accelerate their digital transformation and look to turn remote work into a competitive advantage. "Last year, IT spending took the form of a 'knee jerk' reaction to enable a remote workforce in a matter of weeks. As hybrid work takes hold, CIOs will focus on spending that enables innovation, not just task completion," distinguished research vice-president at Gartner, John-David Lovelock, said.

Those companies that are able to successfully make that transition will likely see an increase in revenue and productivity. They also then likely become truly resilient, agile companies, able to quickly adapt to any further changes in situation.

Meeting these needs was why we at Optus decided to pair our enterprise network capabilities with Cisco, as a communications platform provider of choice. Using modern collaboration tools such as Webex Meetings, Webex Calling and Webex Contact Centre, combined with connectivity options such as mobile broadband, secure remote access and remote desktop solutions, we've seen the idea of working from home go from being an exception in many companies to become something that can be considered as business as usual.

For one example of this in motion, we're already seeing the contact centre being revolutionised via the advanced new chatbots and AI capabilities that are available. Increasingly, they are able to support the humans working at the contact centre by playing the "first contact" role, before moving more complex tasks to the human experts to manage. This has the potential to return massive benefits back to contact centre operators, resulting in lower abandonment rates, lower times in queue and better handling times. This results in an improved customer and agent experience, and that has been driving improved NPS scores and sales within our customers.

For many businesses that's just the start of the kind of innovation that we'll see underpinned by the cloud over the next few years.

: Ready to blast off closer to home!
__Case study: creating a PayPal or Alipay for Africa...
If you listen to the Business War on Sasai Podcast, eBay vs PayPal, you will realize that there would have been no eCommerce giants like Amazon, AirBnB, or Netflix, if the issue of Online payment systems had not been tackled by Peter Thiel, Reed Hoffman, and Elon Musk, the founders of PayPal.
In China, Jack Ma, the co-founder of Alibaba, realized quite early on that his eCommerce venture would not take off unless they first tackled Online payments. Jack then founded another company called AliPay, which is now one of the largest payment platforms in the world.
A few years ago, I also realized that Africa was falling behind in the digital economy because it had no continent-wide payment platform. So many things I wanted to introduce could not take off because not enough people had the ability to pay Online. Traditional payments companies like MasterCard and Visa are not really able to reach the mass population the way of PayPal and AliPay.
Those two platforms allow you to pay for things as little as 50 cents! Whilst a step forward, the mobile money platforms available in most African countries such as EcoCash, M-PESA, and MTN Money are not able to fully support payments Online.
Believe it or not, I have been trying to solve this problem for 5 years! When we began the Sasai App, this was meant to be the centerpiece of what we would solve!
__Now you know, the secret is out: It is called SasaiPay!
For those of you who know Sasai, it's one of the 14 Applications of this SuperApp.
Putting it together has been very difficult because most of the work that drives a platform like this is not in the App itself, but the partnerships that are required to make it work successfully across so many countries.
We chose an approach that avoided going head to head with existing platforms, but rather complementing and even supporting them. SasaiPay doesn't compete with Mobile Money platforms for instance; it works with them. We also work with local banks throughout Africa.
In fact, anyone with a payment platform can interconnect to SasaiPay!
They are our partners.
We also negotiated with global players like MasterCard and VISA. Some sharp-eyed members of this platform are aware that a few weeks ago Cassava Fintech, the parent of Sasai App, announced a deal with MasterCard, one of the largest payment companies in the world.
Other similar partnerships are in the works. And still we continue to build. Next, we begin to open up Online payments for Africa.
And what will follow?
Anyone with a business will be able to sell goods Online and ask for payment through SasaiPay!
__Sasai WiFi is a “use case of SasaiPay”
Those who are using the platform in Kenya, use SasaiPay to buy their data bundles. They can move money from a bank account or mobile money, and then use that money to buy anything they want Online, as though they had an international credit card.
SasaiPay also has a sister platform on the Sasai App, called SasaiRemit; this is used by people all over the world to send money to Africa and Asia. You can send money to almost 40 African countries in an instant.
You can also send money to someone’s SasaiPay account.
__Another “use case” is Sasai Watch Premium content. You will soon be able to pay for and watch premium content such as movies. African content creators who until now were unable to monetize their video and audio content are being given an outlet!
Some of you might ask, why did I not talk about SasaiPay before? The answer is simple: Don’t rush to talk about something until there is real substance for people to see.
There is substance now, and we are nearing the end of the pre-commercial phase. We are updating it quietly every month, as we add features, fix bugs, and prepare to launch a revolution.
This is also the time you start to talk to serious investors. We have the Innovation; next comes the Marketing, and if we manage our costs [while of course, delivering great and services to our ], then we make money...
“Innovation plus Marketing-Costs=Profit."
Now I know these are really tough times for many of you as the COVID Third Wave hits, as well as other new and ongoing hardships. I really hope you and your families are keeping safe.

"Inertia and depression are linked. They tend to stick together. Blast them both with positive momentum". [Author unknown]
You aren't alone.
End.

This might go on production soon

A prototype flying car spent 35 minutes in the air on Monday, completing a test flight between two cities in Slovakia. Klein Vision's AirCar — which has a fixed propeller and transforms from an aircraft to a road vehicle in under three minutes — flew between Nitra and the capital Bratislava on Monday, according to a press release. " is no longer just a proof of concept," Anton Zajac said in the press release. "It has turned science fiction into a reality."
