What is the difference between web design and web development
Web design and web development are often used interchangeably, but they serve distinct roles in creating a website.
Web design focuses on the visual elements and user experience of a website. This includes:
* Layout and structure: Determining the arrangement of elements on a page.
* Color palette and typography: Selecting appropriate colors and fonts to enhance readability and aesthetics.
* Graphics and imagery: Creating or selecting visual assets that complement the content.
* User interface (UI): Designing the website's interface to be intuitive and easy to navigate.
Web development, on the other hand, involves the technical aspects of building a website. This includes:
* Coding: Writing the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other programming languages that make up the website's structure and functionality.
* Database management: Creating and managing databases to store and retrieve website data.
* Server configuration: Setting up and maintaining the servers that host the website.
* Web application development: Building interactive web applications that allow users to perform specific tasks.
In essence, web design is about creating the look and feel of a website, while web development is about building the underlying structure and functionality. While they are often done in tandem, they require different skill sets and expertise.
