The Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State, General Sharif Daniel Sharif, confirmed that naming the bridge project after His Excellency the President of the Republic of South Sudan came in response to the demands of the state’s citizens, including traditional chiefs, neighborhood leaders, women, and youth groups, who proposed naming the project after the President in appreciation and recognition of his role in serving the people of South Sudan.
The Governor explained that this step comes as an honor to the tremendous efforts made by His Excellency the President in promoting peace, stability, and development in the country, describing him as a man of peace and a symbol of wise national leadership striving to strengthen security and unity among the people of the nation.
General Sharif Daniel Sharif also stated that the Government and citizens of Western Bahr el Ghazal State renew their full support for His Excellency the President of the Republic of South Sudan, affirming their commitment to stand behind the political leadership in order to achieve further development, improve public services, and strengthen the journey toward peace and stability in the country.
