A little history on the walls of Two Ducks 🦆🎨

And to finish this series of projects for Two Ducks Two Ducks — Koh Rong Samloem , I was asked to add the opening years of the restaurant.

The years 2017 to 2019 were already painted on the walls, and my job was to continue the timeline by adding 2020 to 2025.

But there was a funny little twist to the project… 😉
I was asked to paint 2020, 2021 and 2022 inside the toilets — because, well… those were the pandemic years, and it seemed only appropriate to literally throw those years down the toilet and flush them away! 🚽😂

The following three years, 2023, 2024 and 2025, were painted back inside the restaurant, continuing the timeline in a slightly more positive direction. ✨

For this project, I designed and cut all the numbers out of foam board to create reusable stencils. That way, adding the next years will be much quicker and the lettering will stay consistent over time.

And yes… 2026 is still missing! 😅
But I’ll most likely come back and add it before the end of the year.

I love these little projects that combine practical signage with a bit of humour and personality. 🎨🦆

A sign with a story 🎶🌿

This double-sided Bob Marley sign was originally created for the Rasta Hostel in Koh Tao, Thailand.

Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the hostel never got the chance to open its doors. But instead of letting the sign disappear, it found a new home with my friends at Baby Rasta Bar! ❤️💛💚 Baby Rasta Bar Bai Baby Rasta KhoToa

I love that this piece was given a second life and could still become part of a place filled with music, good vibes and people.

Sometimes projects don’t end up exactly where they were originally planned to be — but they can still find their perfect place along the way ✨

And that’s one of the things I love about creating handmade pieces: every object has its own story.

More signage for Two Ducks 🦆🍺🎨

Another small project for Two Ducks Two Ducks — Koh Rong Samloem in M’Pai Bay!

This time, I created the “BEER GARDEN” sign displayed outside the restaurant, to let guests know that the b**r garden is located at the back 🍻🌿

There was already another “BEER GARDEN” sign next to the toilets, so I wanted the new one to feel like part of the same set. I tried to reproduce a similar typography and style, so that both signs would match naturally even though the new one was hand-painted from scratch.

It’s always the little details that make signage feel cohesive and help guests find their way around easily. ✨

A little piece of art with a message ♻️🌊

This series of handmade keychains was created to raise awareness about something that really upsets me: cigarette butts being thrown into the sea, on the beach, or anywhere in nature.

It’s easy to see a tiny cigarette butt as something insignificant — but when thousands of them end up in our environment, the impact is far from small.

For these pieces, I created a composition featuring fish bones made from epoxy resin, alongside tiny cigarette butts handmade from real cigarette filters.

A small creation with a darker message: our waste doesn’t just disappear because we can’t see it anymore.

For the next batch, I’m planning to add an even clearer message:

Don’t be garbage! ♻️

I was honestly amazed by the response to this series! The first four pieces I created as a test all sold out 😃✨

It means a lot to know that people connected with both the artwork and the message behind it.

A little more signage for Two Ducks 🦆🎨

This project was created for the bathrooms of Two Ducks Two Ducks — Koh Rong Samloem , a bar, restaurant and guesthouse in M’Pai Bay.

For the guesthouse, I created two signs to indicate the dry bathrooms — toilets without showers, meaning there is no floor drainage system. The signs needed to be clear and practical, while fitting naturally into the existing atmosphere of the place.

I also created two additional hand-painted signs to indicate the location of the restaurant’s toilets 🚻✨

Another example of how even the smallest details can make a business easier to navigate and more welcoming for guests.

Not just for Halloween… 🎭✨

These custom masks were originally created for Halloween, but they can be used for so much more!

They are also a great alternative to face painting for people who don’t want to wear makeup on their skin or face. And unlike face paint, they can be kept and reused again and again! ✨

From themed parties and festivals to events, performances, decorations or photoshoots, I love creating unique pieces that can help bring a specific atmosphere or idea to life.

Blackwood — Behind the scenes 🎨🎶✨

As part of the same event at Blackwood Blackwood Club & Bar Koh Tao in Koh Tao, I also designed the event poster and joined the party on the night itself as a face painter! 🎭

The event had a unique therapy-inspired atmosphere, mixing meditation, music and creativity with a little psychedelic jungle energy 🍄🌿

There were DJs, multiple dance floors, a b**r garden, a bonfire, and a mix of hip-hop, jungle and drum & bass, including the Beat Garden and Bass Therapy areas.

It was a great opportunity to combine several things I love: graphic design, event decoration, face painting and being part of the creative atmosphere on the night itself.

From designing the visuals to creating the glowing mushroom decorations and then face painting at the event — this was truly a project where I got to be involved from start to finish 💜

A little throwback to my Koh Tao days 🍄✨

For a party at Blackwood Blackwood Club & Bar Koh Tao in Koh Tao, Thailand, I created 13 sets of fluorescent mushrooms to transform the venue into a colourful, otherworldly world under UV lights.

I also designed the event poster and was there on the night itself, doing face painting — so this project really brought together several sides of my creative work 🎨💜

For the mushrooms, I started by cutting the shapes out of reclaimed polystyrene sheets that I had collected. I then covered them with paper using a homemade glue made from hot water and flour.

Once dry, I sealed everything with black spray paint to create a dark base before hand-painting the patterns with fluorescent paint, which reacts to UV light and makes the designs glow in the dark 🌈💡

For the bases, I reused empty coconuts and filled them with sand to add weight and balance out the lightweight polystyrene. The mushrooms were then secured into the coconuts using a mixture of sand and epoxy resin.

A full DIY process using reclaimed materials, homemade solutions and a lot of creativity ♻️🎨

I love creating decorations for parties and events, especially projects that completely transform a space once the lights go down.

A colourful and eclectic little project 🎨✨

These two hand-painted signs were created for a venue with a very eclectic and colourful atmosphere.

The owners wanted the designs to reflect the playful, alternative spirit of the place, with bold and quirky elements that fit naturally into the surrounding decor 🌈

For an extra touch, I used glow-in-the-dark fluorescent paint, making the artwork visible at night and giving the signs a completely different look after dark 🌙✨

The venue also occasionally hosts electronic music nights, with a DJ — so there’s always a good mix of creativity, music and island vibes 🎶🌴

A fun project where I had plenty of freedom to let my imagination run wild!

Another project for Easy Tiger 🐯✨

After my previous work for Easy Tiger Easy Tiger , I was asked to create another version of their logo — this time on a wall in a much higher and more difficult-to-reach area.

Because of the height, reproducing the logo directly by hand would have been quite challenging. My first idea was therefore to create a stencil and use spray paint.

I bought foam board, drew the logo, and carefully cut out each letter to create the stencil.

But once I saw the cut-out letters, I actually liked the idea of turning them into 3D lettering even more! So instead of using the stencil, I painted the letters black and attached them directly to the wall.

The stencil was kept safely for future use — just in case Easy Tiger needs their logo reproduced again somewhere else! 😉

I love when a project takes an unexpected turn and the final idea ends up being even more interesting than the original plan 🎨
