National Teachers' Day is celebrated every January 16 in Thailand to honor and express gratitude to teachers who dedicate themselves to sharing knowledge and experience. Teachers build the foundation of education, instill moral values, and serve as role models for students in their personal development and contribution to society.
National Teachers' Day was first established in 1957. January 16 was chosen to commemorate the promulgation of the Teachers Act in 1945, which marked the beginning of the Teachers Council formation to oversee and elevate professional teaching standards.
วันครูแห่งชาติ 16 มกราคมของทุกปี เป็นวันพิเศษที่เราร่วมกันน้อมรำลึกและขอบคุณครูอาจารย์ผู้ทุ่มเทถ่ายทอดความรู้และประสบการณ์ ครูคือผู้สร้างรากฐานการศึกษา ปลูกฝังคุณธรรม และเป็นแบบอย่างที่ดีให้กับลูกศิษย์ในการพัฒนาตนเองและสังคม
วันครูแห่งชาติถูกจัดตั้งขึ้นครั้งแรกเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2500 โดยเลือกวันที่ 16 มกราคมเพื่อระลึกถึงวันประกาศใช้พระราชบัญญัติครู พ.ศ. 2488 ซึ่งเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของการจัดตั้งคุรุสภาเพื่อดูแลและยกระดับมาตรฐานวิชาชีพครู
