Aug 27, 2026 - It was a cloudy, breezy day, with the leaves rustling in the trees. Walking through Benchasiri Park to the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park was a pleasant start to the afternoon. The entrance to the hotel from the park is surprisingly complex and winding—we took the elevator to the 4th floor, then walked to the large hall on the 5th. A cheesecake and a latte before the ceremony were a small but welcome boost. The ceremony itself was simple and pleasantly quick.
