Bor-Jed-Look Village, M.1 Pak-Nam, La-Ngu district, Satun province.
"La Katuyo" in Bahasa Melayu or Bor-Jed_Look (seven ponds). Originally, the first group of people lived in there is Sea Gypsy who migrated from the island that was far away from the shore. They dug ponds for use as drinking water, but it appears the brackish water does not work. They tried to dig ponds after ponds but had no water. Until the 7th pond had water coming out into fresh water. Currently, the whole ponds still appear.
Tourism attractions of the village have a story telling about historical site of ‘Bor-Jed-Look’, Khao Chang Mob, Ka Sing Beach, Tham Lod, Saue Sin Lai, Hin Ta Hin Yai, Pha Chai Nee, Seashore Wading Dragon, Prasat Hin Phan Yod, and Tham Lod Pob Rak.
Community with natural abundance of the sea, most of the villagers work in the local fishing community (Prantalay) who catch the aquatic animals. Here is as the source of the Tai Pao Shell that is well-known of exported economy animals. And, they have a side career in agriculture, such as, pumpkin, watermelon, melon and vegetables according to market demand. And, they cultivate local vegetable processing food from ingredient in the community. The nature of area is a plain with mountains. Beach is on the Andaman Sea. There are seven ponds, Khlong La-Ngu with mangrove forests and abundant forest resources. In the Petra Islands National Park Influenced by southwest monsoon and northwest monsoon. Summer starts from December till May Influenced by the northeast wind. General weather is hot and low humidity. Rainy season will start from May until December influenced by the southwest monsoon causing rain throughout the season.
