Sustainability Update | July 2026

A recent Nature study (July 2026) highlights a breakthrough in plastic recycling, showing how plastic waste can be transformed into valuable chemicals using only water and oxygen. But no matter how advanced recycling technology becomes, it all starts with proper waste segregation and collection.

At AIT, our campus recycling initiative helps make this possible.♻️

Since the launch of the initiative, the AIT community has recycled 2,492.83 kg of recyclable materials.

July 2026 Collection (16.60 kg)
• Hard Plastic: 5.56 kg
• Stretchable Plastic: 8.90 kg
• Multi-Layer Packaging: 0.84 kg
• E-waste: 1.30 kg

🌿♻️ Plastic Free July 2026 | AIT Family 💚🌍

Just a few days ago, we observed International Plastic Bag Free Day (3 July), marking the beginning of Plastic Free July a global movement that encourages everyone to reduce single-use plastics and make more sustainable choices every day.

As part of this commitment, we're pleased to share the results of our June 2026 recycling collection. Thanks to the continued support of the AIT community, we are making meaningful progress toward reducing waste and protecting our environment. 🌱

📊 June 2026 Recycling Results

Since the launch of our recycling initiative, the AIT community has recycled 2,492.83 kg of materials.

📌 In June 2026, we recycled 23.98 kg of waste:

Hard Plastic: 12.93 kg
Stretchable Plastic: 7.74 kg
Multi-Layer Packaging: 3.15 kg
E-waste: 0.17 kg

Every kilogram recycled helps reduce plastic pollution, conserve valuable resources, and move us closer to a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future. 💚🌏

This June, we celebrate both diversity and sustainability — values that inspire us to build a stronger and more inclusive community 🌈🌱

Since the launch of our recycling initiative, the AIT community has recycled 2,492.83 kg of materials, helping reduce waste and protect our environment and oceans ♻️🌊

📌 In this collection round, we recycled 19.08 kg of waste:
• Stretchable Plastic: 7.43 kg
• Hard Plastic: 9.17 kg
• Multi-Layer Packaging: 1.43 kg
• E-waste: 1.05 kg

AIT Trash on the Dash would like to sincerely thank everyone in the AIT community for your continued support in waste sorting and recycling efforts throughout April 2026 💚

Together, our community successfully recycled a total of 19.74 kg of waste, including:

♻️ Stretchable Plastic: 6.37 kg
♻️ Hard Plastic: 9.92 kg
♻️ Multi-layer Packaging: 1.60 kg
♻️ E-waste: 1.85 kg

Every small action contributes to reducing waste and creating a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable campus 🌏

AIT Trash on the Dash would like to sincerely thank everyone in the community for your continued support in waste sorting and recycling. Your collective efforts play an important role in keeping our campus clean and promoting a more sustainable environment 🌏

In March 2026, our community successfully recycled a total of 14.68 kg of waste, including:
♻️ Stretchable Plastic: 5.37 kg
♻️ Hard Plastic: 7.37 kg
♻️ Multi-layer Packaging: 1.23 kg
♻️ E-waste: 0.40 kg

Every item that is properly sorted contributes to reducing waste and supporting a greener future for AIT.

As we celebrate Songkran, let’s continue spreading positivity, care for one another, and also care for our environment 💚♻️
