With hands of fire, Chuckaree delivered a beautiful rendition of Chuck Mangione's Feel So Good alongside the band, Sweetbread, captivating patrons with the rich melodic sound of the steelpan!

NAPA Jazz Fusion 2026 showcased an impressive array of multi-talented artists from Trinidad and Tobago. Featured performers included the UTT Ensemble led by musical director Tony Paul; Neval Chatelal; Dane Gulston and the band Sweetbread featuring Johann Chuckaree and Adrian Philbert; LeAndra and Charmaine Forde accompanied by the National Philharmonic Orchestra led by musical director, Dr. Roger Henry; and Dr. Sharda Patasar, DJ Rawkus, Christo and Terri Lyons backed by the National Steel Symphony Orchestra led by musical director, Dr. Mia Gormandy-Benjamin.

Together, they delivered exceptional performances that captivated patrons throughout the evening. Their artistry, musicianship and stage presence brought audiences to their feet, earning standing ovations and widespread praise, making this year's edition a night to remember.

The sixth edition of The National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA) flagship music production, Jazz Fusion, takes place on May 31st, 2026. Themed, "The evolution of Caribbean Jazz," this year the event will take place at NAPA's Courtyard as a premium semi-inclusive experience and features performances from LeAndra, Johann Chuckeree, Dr. Sharda Patasar, Neval Chatelal, Dane Gulston, Charmaine Forde, Christo and Terri Lyons, all performing alongside the National Steel Symphony Orchestra (NSSO) and the National Philharmonic Orchestra (NPO)!

From 4pm - 9pm, patrons will enjoy a blend of jazz, soca, steelpan and orchestral music.

Tickers are available at NAPA box office from 10am-6pm daily and on islandetickets.

For the first time in history, a jury has ruled that social media features can cause personal injury. A California jury found Meta and YouTube liable for creating addictive products that harmed a now-20-year-old woman, validating a legal theory that social media apps can be as harmful as ci******es.

The woman, identified as K.G.M., sued over features like infinite scroll and algorithmic recommendations that she claimed led to anxiety and depression. The jury found both companies negligent in their app designs. Meta is responsible for 70% of the $3 million in damages, with YouTube paying the rest.
