Next Saturday!!!!!

UMOJA, a tribute concert in celebration of what and who is ours.

We will feature:

Our welcome reception with music played by a wonderful young artiste on our national instrument.

Our meet up and photo opportunities as per normal. We Doh play with that.

A few of our well known and loved female artisans who will have some of their products in sale or display.

Our main concert in the concert hall will feature only MUSIC born here and made here on this island. This is WE show.

Must do a showcase or feature from one of our stars of tomorrow because we want to continue to provide space for them too.

We will also pay tribute here to three of our icons who have agreed to be our seated guests for the evening. We honour:

Mavis John
Karega Mandela
Brother Valentino.

The band is excited. The music is going to be lovely.

Out after show hangout and lime is always a vibe as we snack and knock glasses with our favourite folks whilst being entertained by DJ King International and Adrian de Don.

Then we go home. We grease we heel and put on we BIOFREEZE and sleep good.

The Arrival and Pre Show: THE COURTYARD

Our gates will open at four thirty to welcome our most beautiful patrons to the Naparima Bowl courtyard. This beautiful space will serve as as our welcome hangout area and the stage in the courtyard will feature a short presentation by the Bois Academy of Trinidad and Tobago. A beautiful showcase of one of our traditions awaits us whilst we greet and mingle before heading into the concert hall. The courtyard is beautiful. We have Marlon to thank for that and I know he will be most present with us on that evening.

Our Main Show: THE CONCERT HALL

Join VB and Band for our main concert with some surprise elements. At this concert the band will also make room for young Cael Pyke (my 12 and under son) and our most treasured Brother Valentino as our special guest. Ooooooo, I love him. The music is going to be beautiful. There is NO intermission here. It’s going to be short and sweet, no more than one and a half hours. We play some music, dance ah lil and head out.

Our Post Show Jam and Lime

We are back in the courtyard for our post show get together and wind down. Here we will feature a chill out or dance session (whichever works for you) hosted by Adrian Don Mora and King International. We will listen and dance to the music that made up the soundtrack of our lives whilst we eat something light and prepare to head home before we curfew.
