Dear PC Francis,
Before going on the nation's roads and stressing out citizens by issuing tickets that make absolutely NO SENSE, please do yourself a favour and Google the meaning of "Date of Issue" and "Commencement of Insurance."
Because clearly, the difference escaped you.
The insurance was handed to you. You printed the ticket WITHOUT EVEN ASKING A SINGLE QUESTION. When it was pointed out that the insurance was valid and expiring in 2027, your colleague's swift response was, "The ticket done print, yuh hadda challenge it."
EXCUSE ME???
So because YOU made a mistake, I now have to waste my time, take time off, and go to court to challenge a ticket that should NEVER have been issued in the first place?
Do you understand how frustrating and ridiculous that is? I dont have the time to be running up and down because an officer cannot properly read and understand an insurance document.
If you are going to issue tickets, at least know what you are looking at before you start wasting people's time.
And if PC Francis is your friend or family member, please tell him that next time he makes this kind of dotishness, he should have the decency to come and apologize himself instead of sending his colleague to speak on his behalf.
You made the mistake. You should have the decency to address it.
I am not interested in hearing "the ticket done print. That is not my problem." Your mistake should not become my burden.
