Let's chat about dresses for a bit...

I honestly hated wearing dresses in my younger years because as a girl who was always around her dad and male basketball team players, wearing a dress seemed like too much of a headache as I became more concerned about having to sit properly and constantly check myself.

Howeverrrr....I've grown out of that fear and I'm now educated on what was one of my main issues with Styling dresses....LENGTH!

Here's some Style Tips that will get you confidently 'Dress'-ed Up and comfortable with various dress lengths:

● Mini Dresses - Worn above the knee, the hemline of this youthful option should not fall at the widest part of your thigh as it will make your thighs look bigger.

● Knee-Length Dresses - Universally flattering, this dress length is just below or at the knee. However, if you're petite, opt for a hemline right above the knee.

● Midi Dresses - This is my favourite length but it also happens to be the trickiest as the perfect midi must hit the widest part of the calf or it can visually shorten your legs. One Style trick is to wear n**e high heels to visually elongate your legs.

● Maxi Dresses - The easiest to wear length of the bunch, Maxis should be worn above the ankle bone with flats or floor-length (Not dragging on the floor) with heels.

We sometimes avoid 'small mountains' when it comes to our Style.

Let's face it...how many of you are wanting to cut your hair, try a different nail colour or wear something that you usually won't wear but you don't because you're blocked by feelings of fear and anxiety?

Well, a little anxiety might be exactly what you need to push you over the mountain and recognize that it's actually smaller than you thought.
