"How do I get more followers?"

In 2023, we welcomed you to our DM for any questions and curiosities you had about building a brand and to our surprise we got more questions and enquiries for more followers and likes.

I agree follower count is cool 😎 at least if your purpose is to get more followers. If you're building a brand however, you need authentic connections and engagement.

10k followers who never comment or share your content have less value than 100 engaged fans providing feedback.

So Instead of craving followers who won't do you any good than just give you numbers, you should focus on connecting with people who are genuinely interested and invested in what you are and what you do.

Think all fonts just help write words? Think again!

Font choices are like a first impression for your brand's personality before customers read any taglines.

For example, would a new organic juice startup seem as authentic using Times New Roman - the font of old newspapers and essay assignments? Probably not! A handwritten, playful font like Comic Sans though might undermine perceptions around nutrition science expertise.

Just like judging someone's personality based on their voice and mannerisms, viewers intuitively sense tones and vibes from visual type. Softer round fonts seem friendlier, italicized scripts more elegant, strict solid lines bolder.

The key is choosing a font "body language" that effortlessly reinforces your intended positioning. That could mean conveying your coffee shop's reliability with sturdy font weights, or capturing your fashion startup's trendiness through flowing oval shapes with visual interest.

Think carefully about the personality you want customers to recognize your brand by. Finding typography that naturally embodies those same traits through its style and form does half the differentiating work for you!

Not good! Be crystal clear. Guide your audience on the next steps. Make connecting with you a breeze.

Quality over quantity
