Work on product and marketing
"What is more important: the product or its marketing?" is a question that causes stabbing in marketing communities. Some say that if you know how to sell, the client will be happy to buy even a copy of Jason Statham's head on a scale of 1:6. Others believe that if you make a really cool product, everyone will know about it without marketing and advertising.
The truth is in the middle. A bad product with good promotion can show impressive initial sales, but it will be difficult to keep buyers. Such a business will not last long, especially if the market is small. Most likely, no one will know about a great product without marketing. Yes, sometimes entrepreneurs have succeeded only at the expense of quality. Salvatore Ferragamo has grown an empire from a 2x2-meter shoe store without a marketing department. But that was at the beginning of the XX century. Now, in order to break through to the consumer through the information noise, much more effort is needed.
So develop marketing, product, sales — and don't get into pointless arguments about what is more important.
