The oldest stone bridge in Paris is Pont Neuf.
The construction of Pont Neuf was started by King Henry III, who also placed the first stone of the bridge. However, it was King Henry IV who oversaw the completion of the bridge in 1607. Since 1889, Pont Neuf has been listed as a historical monument or monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture. In 1991, it was included on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
