Sometimes our work takes us beneath the waves! 🌊

Sea Shepherd helps monitor and protect the Revillagigedo Archipelago, the largest marine protected area in North America and one of the most significant humpback whale breeding grounds in Mexico.

In partnership with CONANP, and teams from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California Sur (UABCS), this mission studies the prevalence, health, and behavior of humpback whales around this area and provides protection to the numerous species that inhabit this biodiversity hotspot.

The better we understand our oceans, the better we will be able to protect them.

The Banda Sea has a maximum mark at a depth of about 7,440 meters.

The depths of the sea are mysterious, there are many unknowns in them to this day.

However, the ranking of the largest deep seas already exists, and it is worth studying - if only to understand the reason for the little-studied water abyss. After all, diving to such a depth is really problematic and dangerous!
