Walmart Connect added negative keywords to Sponsored Products on July 29, 2026.

You can now exclude a specific search query directly: Manual campaigns support it, and so do Automatic campaigns on Fixed Bidding, but Dynamic Bidding and Target ROAS don't get the option at all. Two match types (Exact and Phrase), up to 500 negative keywords per ad group, 80 characters each.

One trap worth knowing: switching a campaign to an unsupported bidding strategy deletes its negative keywords automatically, and switching back isn't guaranteed to restore them.

Walmart Connect is rolling an AI assistant into the Sponsored Search console. It's called Marty.

It answers bidding, keyword and billing questions in plain language, surfaces alerts and recommendations on its own, and pulls four research reports through chat on request. In beta now, reaching every Sponsored Search advertiser later this half, per Walmart's own timeline.

Walmart says 97% of Marty's queries are unique: not a handful of canned questions repeating. The same announcement covers Sparky, checked by 81% of surveyed customers before buying, and a creative tool cutting production time by 80%.

Amazon search trends, September 2026.

Across eight countries, demand in September 2026 shifted from August phrases like solar eclipse glasses toward household staples and back-to-school items.

The biggest product search in each of the eight marketplaces we read: US toilet paper, UK toilet roll, Germany squishy, France squishy, Italy iphone 17 pro, Spain agenda 2026 2027, Canada lego, Mexico owala.

Italy was the most concentrated market of the month. The three products behind "iphone 17 pro" hold 58.0% of the clicks on that phrase. In Germany, the top three behind "squishy" hold 9.0% between them. Two phrases, both number one in their marketplace, completely different odds.

Amazon publishes a ranking of search phrases, not search volumes, so none of this is a count of how many people searched.

In November the most searched thing on Amazon France and on Amazon Italy is an advent calendar. In the United States the same phrase is only eighteenth.
We read Amazon's own search terms report for November and December 2025 and January 2026 across eight marketplaces. In December the recipient changes everywhere: in France "cadeau homme" goes from forty-seventh place to second. And the season does not end on the same day in every country. Italy and Spain run to 6 January.

Nine changes landed on Amazon sellers this week. The big ones: passkey login is becoming mandatory (your password still works for recovery, not sign-in), Amazon's Seller Assistant now runs 24/7 with memory and connects to Claude, Seller Central can manage eBay, Shopify, TikTok Shop and Walmart from one dashboard, and Amazon blocked Meta's shopping agent while Shopify welcomed it in.
