Mr. Rwampororo Saul said he joined Ntare in 1986, taught from 1997 to 2002, served as deputy headmaster from 2009 - 2013, and returned as headmaster in 2023, also serving as General Secretary of NSOBA, meaning he knew whatever happened at the school or in the association, during the event launch celebrations.

He noted growth from 669 to 2,841 students, improved accommodation with the KNBN dormitory, but serious classroom challenges, some dilapidated with rain dripping through.

He said the school had never had a fence, but urban growth brought stray dogs, theft, and security concerns, making the fence inevitable, and thanked NSOBA for constructing the gate.

He said the old dining hall required three meal shifts, the new one began in January, roofing was expected by mid-May, and he hoped it would be ready for July celebrations.

He appealed to old boys to renovate dormitories costing 30–40 million shillings and concluded by praising NSOBA for the lion statue, computers, and gate, thanking old boys who inspire students.

Mr. Musiimenta Ferdinand Kasheka, President of the Ntare Lions League and an old boy who joined Ntare in 2002 and completed all six years there, delivered his remarks at the Ntare at 70 event launch with reflection and conviction. He noted that introducing himself as President of the Ntare Lions League often required explaining the significance of the role.

He emphasized that the league goes beyond football, focusing on brotherhood, networking, and growth, with initiatives such as Lions Credit and Pig Shots reflecting its wider impact.

He stated that since its founding in 2014 with four teams, the league has grown to over 20 teams and 16 seasons, with each team structured as a company limited by guarantee. He cited personal experiences of support from fellow old boys as evidence of its purpose and highlighted its growing reach, including major attendance figures in Fort Portal and regional recognition of its Kigali finals.

He concluded by calling for continued support, respect, and space for the league as a serious platform for alumni engagement and impact.
