Monday, in our opinion, marks the start of the workweek, which allows us to discuss mental health and the serious challenges you've faced in recent days in terms of loneliness from remote working and staying motivated.
1. Text A Friend - Reaching out to a friend or coworker will help you feel more connected and uplifted; others are often going through the same struggles as you!
2. Get Outside - There is a growing body of evidence that getting outside has positive mental health benefits; even a quick breath of fresh air and natural light can help!
3. Do some Workouts - Getting those natural endorphins flowing doesn't take long; even if the weather outside is bad, you can stay active inside!
4. Write a List. Working remotely, it's easy to become overwhelmed with "digital demands"; tasks and requests arriving via email, DMs, group chats, and phone calls can quickly become overwhelming. Making a list of those tasks to complete throughout the day can help you feel more productive and reduce your cognitive load.
5. Take a Break - Taking a break from the computer is perhaps the most obvious but also the most easily forgotten action. Make yourself a cup of tea and turn off your computer for 5-10 minutes, and don't feel bad about it. When we aren't focused on the issue, the best ideas and problem solving emerge!
