Prichard Colón, the rising Puerto Rican boxing star known as Digget, died on August 13, 2026, at just 33 years old. Born in Florida and raised in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, he built a perfect 16-0 pro record with 13 knockouts before a tragic 2015 fight changed everything.
After suffering severe brain injuries, he spent 221 days in a coma and lived the next decade under the constant care of his family. In 2021 the WBC named him an honorary world champion and presented him the green-and-gold belt he once dreamed of.

Former boxing prospect Prichard Colón has died at 33, more than a decade after suffering a traumatic brain injury during a 2015 bout.
Once an undefeated 16–0 prospect with 13 knockouts, Colón’s promising boxing career changed after the fight against Terrel Williams. He later spent 221 days in a coma and required extensive care from his parents for the years that followed.
His father, Richard Colón, announced his passing and thanked supporters for their years of love and prayers. His exact cause of death has not been publicly confirmed.
