Hon. Ssewagudde Robert took time to participate in a football training session for Members of Parliament, together with the Minister of State for Sports, Hon. Peter Ogwang. The session provided an opportunity to promote fitness, teamwork, and healthy living.

As the Vice President of the Uganda Deaf Football Association (UDFA), I am also looking forward to engaging with the Minister of State for Sports on matters concerning Deaf sports, particularly Ugandaโ€™s participation in the first Deaf African Football Cup of Nations (DAFCON) 2026 in Ethiopia), through the support of Hon. Ssewagudde Robert.

I appreciate Hon. Ssewagudde Robert for his support and commitment to promoting sports and inclusion for Persons with Disabilities.

So proud and happy to meet Jackie and Brenda again today! โค๏ธ They studied Sign Language at Kyambogo University and have finished. Now they are waiting for graduation this year. ๐ŸŽ“

They visited my office, practiced voice speaking with Sign Language on a laptop, and learned many new signs today. I also encouraged them to meet the Deaf community often. More practice will help them become better at Sign Language. ๐ŸคŸ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ‘

Iโ€™m praying for both of you and wishing you a good journey ahead. May God bless you and guide you in your future. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝโค๏ธ

Yesterday, I went back to my former school, Wakiso Secondary School for the Deaf, for the WADOSA Old Studentsโ€™ Reunion.

I was happy to see my old school, teachers, and friends again. It brought back many good memories. I thank my school for helping me grow and become who I am today.

Thank you, WADOSA, for organizing this special reunion. I hope we will meet again next year.

Last Sunday, we successfully held the Club Leadersโ€™ Meeting and Official Draw for NDFC 2026, which will take place from 27thโ€“29th August 2026.

As Vice President of the Uganda Deaf Football Association (UDFA), I am proud to serve and work together with our clubs, leaders, and partners to develop Deaf football in Uganda.

Thank you to all club leaders, Mr. Joseph Akoli (UDSF), and Mr. Juuko Alex for your support and commitment.

The NDFC 2026 aims to identify and select the best Deaf football players to represent Uganda at DAFCON 2026 in Ethiopia.

Together with the UDFA Board, we will continue advocating and engaging the Ministry of Education and Sports (MOES), the National Council of Sports (NCS), and the Uganda Deaf Sports Federation (UDSF) to support our Deaf national team to represent Uganda at DAFCON 2026 in Ethiopia.

Next week, I and the UDFA Board will begin writing and delivering official letters. We hope to receive a positive response and support from MOES, NCS, UDSF, and the Government of Uganda.

I will continue advocating without fear because the United Nations promotes equal rights and non-discrimination against persons with disabilities, including Deaf people.

I will continue working until we achieve victory. โœŒ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฌ

Will you stand with us? Will you support us?

As Vice President of the Uganda Deaf Football Association (UDFA), Coordinator of the National Deaf Championship (NDC) 2026, and a member of the Marketing, Media and Sponsorship Committee of the Uganda Deaf Sports Federation (UDSF), I am proud to be part of this journey.

These photos were taken during our meeting on 27 June 2026 as part of the preparations for the National Deaf Championship (NDC) 2026.

The Uganda Deaf Football Association (UDFA) held a high-level strategic meeting with representatives of Hon. Ssewagudde Robert, the Deaf Signs Alliance (DSA), and the Uganda Deaf Sports Federation (UDSF). The meeting focused on strengthening partnerships, coordinating efforts, and ensuring the successful planning and delivery of the National Deaf Championship (NDC) 2026.

We are grateful to all our partners and stakeholders for their commitment, support, and shared vision of promoting Deaf sports in Uganda.

Thank you, Hon. Ssewagudde Robert, for your support and for sending the Deaf Signs Alliance (DSA) team to meet with us in support of the National Deaf Championship (NDC) 2026, organized by the Uganda Deaf Football Association (UDFA).

Together, we are building a championship that will empower Deaf athletes, showcase talent, and unite our community. The journey to NDC 2026 continues, and we look forward to sharing more exciting updates soon.
