OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM HON. CHANDIGA CEASER
LCIII CHAIRPERSON โ
I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the newly sworn-in LC5 Chairperson of ,Hon Vukoni Jimmy Okudi , together with the newly elected Speaker and Deputy Speaker, Hon. Izaruku Martine and Hon Ijorea Norah .
Leadership, especially the office of the Speaker, demands maturity, experience, sobriety and courage. The Speakership is not a platform for compromise or mediocrity. It requires leaders who can stand firm, defend truth and guide the district with wisdom and integrity.
To those who have been fighting me politically, I want to make it clear that I am not intimidated. Whoever fights me politically should be prepared for a political response because leadership is not for the weak-hearted. The battle for the future and direction of Moyo politics has only just begun.
People like Idda Password Pork Joint, Buga Chris and Hon Bada , and publicly claimed that I would never be sworn in, but today reality has spoken louder than propaganda. To Bada Emmanuel Nunu in particular, your defeat in the race for the Speakership already sent a strong political message. Politically, your chapter is fading while ours is gaining momentum every day. I remain unapologetic, bold and focused on serving the people who entrusted me with leadership.
However, despite political differences, I continue to encourage the people of Moyo to embrace hard work, unity and development. Gossip, hatred and endless political malice will never improve our livelihoods. It is hard work, determination and cooperation that will transform our district and create opportunities for our people.
I also officially announce that my swearing-in ceremony will take place on 29th May 2026 and the celebration will be marked with fireworks and attendance from distinguished leaders including Hon. Ababiku Jessica Woman Mp Adjumani District , Hon Alionzi Lawrence Dangote Lord Mayor Arua City and Hon.Anyama Ben Former LC5 Adjumani Districtand among other invited GUESTS
The struggle for leadership and transformation continues, and I remain committed to defending the interests of the people of Moyo without fear or apology.
