John 4:14 TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2026
“Shame shouts, but He still meets you at the well with living water.”

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
JOHN 4:14 KJV
PRAYER
Jesus, I thank You that You continually show me the life that I'm supposed to live. I thank You that as I read Your word You are continuously showing me that You love all people no matter where they come from, what they look like, or what reputation they have. I pray that You give me the same heart that is inside of You. Use me as a vessel to deliver the good news like a cool drink of water to a dry and thirsty soul. I will not shy away from an opportunity to introduce someone to Your eternal and perfect love. Bring me to the wells in life so that I can be surrounded by Your sons and daughters who need Your hope! Show me and I’ll go! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

THE WOMAN AT THE WELL
Have you ever walked into a normal day and felt your heart tighten, like your past is louder than your hope? Maybe you are thirsty for a fresh start, but shame keeps whispering that you do not belong, or that God must be tired of you by now. In John 4, Jesus meets the Samaritan woman at the well and speaks to her with steady kindness. He does not avoid her story, and He does not shame her for it. He offers “living water,” and John 4:14 reminds us that what He gives reaches deeper than temporary relief, becoming a spring within us. If you feel worn down or unseen, you are not too far for Him to meet. Psalm 34:18 says the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and that is still true today. Ask Him for the water your soul needs, and trust that His presence can turn even an ordinary moment into new direction.

Your Nightly 🙏🏾 Prayer:
Psalm 139:1 MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2026
“Lord, you have searched me, and you know me.”
PSALM 139:1
DEVOTION
Based on Psalm 139
Tonight’s psalm draws our hearts toward being known. In Psalm 139:1, we are reminded of resting in God’s intimate care. This scripture gives us a steady place to end the day, turning our attention away from hurry, fear, and distraction and back toward the Lord. God meets us in His Word with truth for our minds, comfort for our hearts, and direction for our steps. Take a moment to sit with this verse from Psalm 139. Breathe out the weight of the day, and breathe in the peace of God’s presence. Let this scripture shape your thoughts tonight and lead you into rest.
A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Praise God for revealing His heart through Psalm 139. Honor Him for His faithfulness, goodness, and nearness tonight. CONFESSION: Bring Him the places where your heart has drifted from this truth. Confess worry, self-reliance, distraction, or doubt, and receive His mercy. THANKSGIVING: Thank God for the gift of His Word and for the way this scripture reminds you of resting in God’s intimate care. Let gratitude quiet your soul. SUPPLICATION: Father, let the truth of Psalm 139:1 take root in me tonight. Shape my heart through Your Word, give me peace as I rest, and help me walk tomorrow in the light of Your presence.

Oh Lord, what a glorious thing to be known by You. You are acquainted with all my intimate thoughts, most significant failures, and fervent hopes for the future. You intricately wove me together in my mother’s womb and mapped out greatness for me to walk in. I take great comfort in Your intimate presence in my life. Wherever I am, You are there. Whether I ascend to the heights of success or descend into the depths of despair, You are there! Your love is always accessible. Your comfort is always available. My worth is in You, and my destiny is in Your will. As I lay down to sleep tonight, I pray that You would search my heart for iniquity and cleanse me from corrupting thoughts. Draw out all the apathy, shame, and sin keeping me from walking in Your ways. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Dear God, tonight my soul will wait for You. Amid a frenetic, anxious, and whirling world, I will remain still and watch diligently for You to move. Though everything around me is moving and causing distraction, I can trust that You are working in the margin. Like a watchman in the night, I will remain steadfast and vigilant. I will put my hope in You and You alone so the fickle nature of the world does not take my joy. Settle my soul tonight, and show me Your goodness as I dream. Reveal Your pleasing and perfect will, and rejuvenate me for the day ahead. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen
