On this day 57 years ago, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his final, prophetic speech: ''I''ve Been to the Mountaintop.'' ✊🏾🔥"Standing before a crowd in Memphis on April 3, 1968, Dr. King spoke with an urgency that still resonates today. He reflected on the struggles of the Civil Rights Movement, the fight for economic justice, and the promise of a better future. His words on economic power and collective action still resonate today.💬 “We''ve got to strengthen Black institutions. I call upon you to take your money out of the banks downtown and deposit your money in Tri-State Bank—we want a ‘bank-in’ movement in Memphis.”Dr. King understood that economic empowerment was key to liberation.
