I know I’m not the only one in this position right now…

I was recently laid off from my corporate job, and like a lot of people, I’m figuring out what’s next

But - the timing is interesting —because I’ve actually been building something on the side for a while.

I started Mira Lane Marketing a few years ago as a way to work on creative projects and help businesses grow… and over the past year, I’ve been leaning into it more seriously.

So now I’m going all in.

I’m looking to connect with a few local business owners who could use real marketing support — not just posting and hoping something works.

Specifically:

• Service businesses who want more consistent, reliable leads
• E-commerce brands trying to figure out ads, funnels, or email
• Or anyone needing something specific (website, branding, marketing materials, etc.)

I do have examples of work/results I can share — but I’m also looking to partner with a few businesses where I can go deeper, get strong results, and build out case studies.

Because of that, I’m open to offering discounted rates where it makes sense in exchange for testimonials and reviews.

If you’re interested (or know someone who might be), feel free to comment BUSINESS or send me a message.

Happy to chat — no pressure at all.

Can I Convince You To Put A QR Code On Your Marketing?

Every postcard.
Every door hanger.
Every business card.
Every yard sign.

Should lead to the next step.

Not just a phone number.

A digital coupon, limited-time offer, or neighborhood special that gives people a reason to scan now.

Because the moment they scan, they stop being a random impression…

…and become YOUR lead.

Not a 3rd-party app lead.
Not a referral you forgot to follow up with.
Not someone waiting until they “remember later.”

YOURS.

Now you can stay in touch...

with reminders, seasonal offers, route specials, and future promotions.

This is how local businesses stop relying only on word of mouth.

And start building a lead list they actually own.

The 60-Day Neighborhood Momentum System
Most local businesses treat one completed job like the finish line.
The smart ones use it to create the next 5 jobs on the same street.

Here’s the exact system:

1) Use ONE offer everywhere
“Book within 60 days for 15% off”

Put that same offer on:
• business card
• yard sign
• door hanger
• postcard
• truck QR

Same logo.
Same offer.
Same QR.
Same next step.

2) Capture every scan in one system
No matter where they scan from, send them to the same simple lead form:
name, email, phone, service need.

Now every touchpoint builds one local lead list.

3) Follow up every 7–10 days
Send:
• reminder email
• neighborhood proof
• route discount
• expires soon
• final reminder

This keeps the lead warm until timing changes.

4) Don’t stop after 60 days
Move them into:
• seasonal offers
• annual reminders
• neighborhood specials
• referral bonuses

That’s how one job turns into market ownership.

The real shift:

stop thinking in print pieces
start thinking in neighborhood momentum systems

Why neighborhoods hire the company they keep seeing

I don’t believe local homeowners choose the “best” company only.

They choose the company that feels the most familiar when the problem becomes urgent.

That’s a very different thing.

Most local businesses think homeowners buy because of the perfect offer, the lowest price, or the prettiest postcard.

Sometimes that helps.

But more often?

People buy from the company they’ve been quietly seeing for weeks.

The truck parked outside the Johnsons’ house.

The yard sign on Maple Street.

The door hanger that showed up two days later.

The postcard in the mailbox with the same logo and same 60-day offer.

The business card still sitting on the kitchen counter.

None of these pieces win on their own.

That’s what most people misunderstand about human behavior.

Trust in neighborhoods is usually built through stacked familiarity.

Nobody consciously says:

“I’ve seen this logo 5 times, therefore I trust them.”

But that’s exactly what the brain is doing.

It’s reducing uncertainty.

It’s telling the homeowner:

“These are the people who are active around here.”
“Other neighbors are using them.”
“They must be established.”
“I’ve seen them before.”

That repeated visibility lowers resistance long before the need becomes urgent.

So when the timing finally changes — the roof leak, the lawn issue, the renovation decision, the pressure wash they’ve been putting off — the decision feels easy.

Not because your offer was magical.

Because your brand already feels known.

That’s why I don’t think in one-off print pieces anymore.

The business card is just the base layer.

The real system is neighborhood momentum:
• truck visibility
• yard signs
• door hangers
• postcards
• leave-behinds
• QR scans
• follow-up emails
• future seasonal offers

Even if they’re not ready today, once they scan from any touchpoint, they stay your lead.

And this is the part most companies miss:

The 60-day offer isn’t the end.

It’s just the first cycle.

How One Job Should Turn Into Five More in the Same Neighborhood

Most local businesses are accidentally killing momentum.

They finish a great project.

The truck leaves.
The crew moves on.
The yard sign comes down.

And with it… the neighborhood forgets.

That’s the mistake.

Because people rarely buy the first time they see a company.

They buy after familiarity compounds.

First they notice the truck parked outside the neighbor’s house.

Then they see the yard sign.

A day later there’s a door hanger on their front door.

A postcard lands in the mailbox two days after that.

The homeowner keeps the business card on the kitchen counter.

Every piece carries the same:
• logo
• offer
• QR code
• next step

Now something important happens.

Even if they’re not ready today, your company starts to feel like the obvious choice later.

That’s how neighborhood momentum is built.

The business card is just the base layer.

The real system is:

truck visibility + yard signs + door hangers + postcards + QR capture + 60-day follow-up

This is where most local companies stop too early.

They think the 60-day offer expiration means the lead is dead.

Not even close.

If someone scanned from any touchpoint, they’re still in your ecosystem.

Now they can receive:
• seasonal offers
• route density discounts
• maintenance reminders
• neighborhood specials
• referral incentives
• “we’ll be back in your area next week” offers

This is why the best local brands don’t think in campaigns.

They think in neighborhood momentum systems.

One job should create the next 5 jobs.

Then those 5 create 20 more.

That’s when print stops being “marketing material.”

It becomes local market infrastructure.

And yes — if you want to amplify it even further, this same visibility can be lightly reinforced with geo-targeted social ads once the neighborhood has already seen your trucks, signs, and print pieces.

If you want the exact walkthrough showing the business card, yard sign, door hanger, postcard, QR flow, and every follow-up email laid out step by step, comment MOMENTUM and I’ll send it over.

If customers forget about your business the second you leave the job…

That’s exactly why you’re not getting repeat work or referrals.

And it has nothing to do with the quality of your work.

Because most customers are happy.

They just… forget.

Life gets busy.
Things move on.
And unless something reminds them…

You’re gone.

So what happens?

They need the service again…
or a neighbor asks who to call…

And instead of saying your name…

They go with whoever they remember.

Not because they’re better.

Just because they’re visible.

That’s the real problem.

It’s not your work.

It’s that there’s nothing in place to keep you top of mind after the job is done.

So every job becomes a one-time job.

Instead of turning into repeat work…
or easy referrals…

You’re back to chasing the next one.

In this video, I break down a simple way to fix that —
so customers remember you, come back to you,
and refer you without you having to chase them.

You don’t have a lead problem.

You have a *jobsite visibility problem.*

And it’s costing you way more than you think.

Because every time you’re on a job…

There are people watching.

Neighbors walking by.
People driving past.
Homeowners thinking,
“Yeah… I’ve been meaning to get that done.”

But here’s what actually happens:

You finish the job.
You pack up.
You leave.

And just like that…

You disappear.

No reminder.
No way to reach you.
No reason for them to take action.

So all that attention —
all those potential customers —

Gone.

And now you’re back to:

Looking for the next job
Hoping for a referral
Or trying to figure out marketing

When the opportunity was literally sitting right there.

That’s the jobsite blind spot.

It’s not that people don’t want your service.

It’s that there’s nothing in place to turn that moment
into an actual opportunity.

And the crazy part?

This is one of the easiest things to fix.

You don’t need ads.
You don’t need anything complicated.

You just need a simple way to stay visible
and give people a way to take the next step
while you’re already there.

If you’re finishing jobs every week…
but not getting a single extra job from that neighborhood…

You’re missing the easiest opportunities in your business.

Because here’s what most people don’t realize:

While you’re working…
your next customers are literally watching.

Neighbors see the truck.
They see the work getting done.
They’re already thinking about hiring someone.

But the second you pack up and leave…

You disappear.

No reminder.
No follow-up.
No way for them to take the next step.

So all that attention?
Gone.

In this video, I break down a simple way to turn every job you’re already doing into 2–3 more — without ads, and without doing anything complicated.

Just a smarter way to capture the opportunity that’s already there.
