Start the morning at Big Bad Breakfast - Florence with pancakes, skillets, or cathead biscuits that fully understand the assignment. Tour Frank Lloyd Wright’s Rosenbaum House, where guided visits offer a closer look at one of the city’s most distinctive landmarks. Then make time for Wichahpi Commemorative Stone Wall, also known as Tom’s Wall, a meaningful place built in remembrance and worth visiting with a little quiet respect.

Good food, good history, and a weekend that does not need much overplanning.

Start with Lost Pizza Co. Shoals for pizza, pasta, quirky decor, and a laid-back feel that makes it easy to stay a while. Then wander through Graffiti Alley, where the art keeps changing and local creativity gets a wall instead of a sales pitch. Finish at Trowbridge's Ice Cream, a Florence classic open since 1918, for ice cream, milkshakes, and that nostalgic diner feel people keep coming back for.
