Howard Wang opened his first Dallas-area restaurant, Empress of China in Irving, in 1982. In 2005 he opened the first Howard Wang’s China Grill right here in Preston Hollow, and for 20 years it’s been the go-to for dim sum, noodles, and date nights on Northwest Highway.
