Betrayal hurts differently, especially when it comes from someone you loved and trusted.

But the Bible never taught me that betrayal is unforgivable. It taught me the opposite.

Jesus was betrayed, yet He still taught forgiveness.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean what they did was okay. It doesn’t mean trust has to be restored, and it doesn’t mean they automatically get the same access to you again.

It means I refuse to let what someone did to me control what God is doing in me.

I can forgive and still have boundaries.
I can forgive and still walk away.
I can forgive and still learn from it.

Because forgiveness isn’t saying, “You didn’t hurt me.”

It’s saying, “You hurt me, but I’m giving this pain to God instead of letting it turn my heart bitter.”

“Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” Colossians 3:13 🤍
