Thank you to Ronnie at Align for connecting me with the River Raisin Ragtime R***e to help them with Canva. William and Lisa were great to work with, and I love helping a nonprofit get the word out in the community about their work and special events.

We express gratitude for great resources within our community! We asked Align Center for Workforce Development's Executive Director Ronnie Giles, Jr. to tailor a training program for us that would boost our marketing and social media skills. He quickly introduced us to Catrina Ossmann of Clever Ideas Marketing and set up hands-on, learn-by-doing classes. This opportunity was made possible with generous support from the Michigan Arts and Culture Council.

Plus, we collected school supplies for Associated Charities of Lenawee County to distribute to local students!

At a recent event, someone told me that one of the things they most enjoyed about Good Morning Lenawee was learning specific ways they could help local nonprofits. They had brought in snacks for the Adrian Rea Literacy Center that morning, and continue to support the organization with donations of nonperishable snacks for the adult learners and tutors.

While you and your team work on sending the traditional thank-you letters, you can keep the momentum going and build relationships with attendees, sponsors and volunteers...

Send a thank you email to attendees with photos and results from the event. No ask, just gratitude 💙

Tag sponsors on social media. Get photos of them (if you can) instead of using their logo 📸

I always write personal thank you notes to those that helped with an event ✍
