“One of Allen’s promotional pictures of the many activities available at Basin Harbor. In addition to his illustrations, Allen was an avid photographer, and was responsible for all promotion and advertising of Basin Harbor. We’re lucky to have over 1,000 of his photographs, capturing the many scenes of Basin Harbor. In this image, look closely and you will see a large inflatable tube sticking out from behind the dock. It was a WWII surplus item that was the water trampoline of its time. And, in the wood boat on this side of the dock, the little girl wearing the lifejacket is Pennie. You may also recognize the waterskis pictured, located on the ceiling of the Red Mill.”
