A reminder I come back to often...
"Work hard. But don't work for approval. Work from passion. Work from purpose."
For a long time, I thought working harder was always the answer. Over the years, I've learned that the healthiest leaders know when to work hard, when to rest, and when to step back and remember why they started.
Purpose will always outlast pressure.
When your work is rooted in who you are and the impact you want to make, success becomes about so much more than checking boxes or proving yourself.
I hope that's the kind of leader we all continue to become.

Celebrating Wins is one of our core values and last night was definitely a win.
We got to spend the evening with our clients and friends at the International Welcome Center for a special dinner at Remarkable Diner. The chef made an incredible Ethiopian meal, explained each dish, and invited everyone to jump right into the culture, including eating with our hands!
It was such a fun and meaningful night of good food, good conversation, connection, and learning together.
Beyond thankful to support the important work of the International Welcome Center and to celebrate moments like this!

It’s always full of laughs, a few bloopers, and the best kind of moments where personalities shine, stories come to life, and people get to see the real humans behind the business.
Because the truth is, people connect with people.
They want to know who they’re doing business with, who they’re supporting, and who they’re inviting into their lives.
And honestly, getting to help our clients show up as themselves is one of our favorite parts of the work.

Grateful for time on the golf course with our friend Ken Shuman. A chance to slow down, laugh, and enjoy being together. At IMMIX, we’re big believers that you can pursue meaningful work and enjoy life along the way. In fact, we think it's a must!

What a great night at the University of Akron’s Marketing Career Networking Night! Taylor Institute for Direct Marketing
It’s always energizing to connect with marketing students who are curious about the field, asking thoughtful questions, and exploring how they can use their skills to make a real impact. We also enjoyed spending time with fellow marketers from across the community who care deeply about the work and the people behind it.
We love being part of a community that invests in the next generation. Thank you to the University of Akron for creating spaces like this where students and professionals can learn from each other.

Here’s a simple relational marketing tip that pays long-term dividends: Start asking, “How do I serve the customers I already have better?”

Relational marketing is about building trust over time. So block off some time this week to try one thing:
*Send a quick “thinking of you” email to 5 current clients (no pitch- just gratitude).
*Send a hand written note and a gift card for coffee to your top 10 customers.
*Follow up with a phone call after a completed project just to ask how things are going.

When people feel seen, remembered, and valued — they stay and they tell other people!
Marketing built on relationship creates loyalty.
