SOMETHING ON MY MIND: I think too often we forget that we’re human. We’re not always going to agree, and we’re absolutely going to make mistakes. Someone told me recently that when we lean too far into our personal feelings, all we end up with is ego and conflict instead of actually seeing the person across from us — or beside us — as another human being with human tendencies and flaws. Sometimes we have to take a moment to breathe, step back from the emotion, and really think about our next steps before reacting.

Check me out in Syracuse, New York on June 13th as my team and I hit the road to inspire youth! Thank you to Light A Candle For Literacy for including me in this year’s festivities.💙

Believing in the leaders of the future is easy for children's book author Ta-Sean C. Murdock. That is precisely why he chose to write books for youth who need to be reminded that the possibilities are endless and greatness is attainable! As an native, Murdock will join the 2026 Literacy Parade & Children's Book Festival roster of authors seeking to inspire children!

Murdock's works include "I Can and I Will" and "I Am Brave and Bright," two different stories focused on overcoming obstacles preventing growth and progression. In the former, Murdock focuses on spotlighting the excellence and determination that lies within, despite one's environment and circumstances. In the latter, Murdock helps young readers who face bullying be empowered through affirmations. From both, the message is clear: when you set your heart and mind on accomplishing something, you can conquer the hindrances in your way.

Murdock is the founder of One Team One Dream of the Capital District, Inc., a nonprofit created to provide a safe space, community, connection, and support system for children and families. He is also involved in various initiatives to empower youth and propel them to heights beyond what can be imagined. To learn more about Murdock and the impact he is having in Albany, check him out at www.taseancmurdockofficial.com.

Plan to attend to meet Murdock and other published authors on Saturday, June 13 during the festival from 1 - 4 p.m. Visit www.lightacandleforliteracy.org to join the parade, register for the festival, and find other opportunities to participate.

Did You Know? 👀

I founded One Team One Dream, LLC. in 2014 in South Carolina with a group of close friends who shared a passion for business and entrepreneurship. What started as friends supporting each other has grown into something much bigger — a mission rooted in helping others build, grow, and sustain successful businesses.

Over the years, I’ve been truly blessed to support entrepreneurs, startups, and community leaders as they bring their visions to life. Through business management, guidance, and collaboration, I’ve been able to witness real growth, real impact, and real transformation in people’s lives.

That vision also expanded into the creation of the One Team One Dream of the Capital District, Inc., where I’ve been able to pour into youth development, community engagement, and educational empowerment — helping inspire the next generation to believe in what’s possible.

Today, I continue this journey with gratitude recognizing that I am truly blessed to be able to have the resource and the support to do what I truly LOVE and thats to help others.

More to come, but for now - One Team One Dream is on the move!

🦁 Strength in Strategy. Power in Partnership.
💭 One vision. One purpose. One Team One Dream.
