What a few days it was in Ellicottville for the Firefighters Association of the State of New York’s 154th Convention!

Our team was on site providing marketing and social media support as more than 600 volunteer firefighters from across New York gathered at Holiday Valley for training, leadership, association business, roundtables and connection.

It was a great opportunity to be part of an event focused on learning, sharing ideas and celebrating the people who dedicate their time to serving their communities.

As Hometown Health Center continues celebrating National Health Centers Week, it welcomed WTEN to its Community Baby Shower & Pop Up Baby Café earlier today.

The story highlights the importance of community support, connecting families with vital resources, and the role community health centers play in ensuring everyone has access to care — regardless of their ability to pay.

It also highlights the challenges facing health centers as changes to federal funding and insurance coverage threaten access to care for thousands of patients.

Thank you to News10 for sharing the voices of local families and highlighting the critical mission of community health centers.

Non-profits across the Capital Region are being pushed to rethink how they sustain essential services amid funding uncertainty.

In a recent Albany Business Review roundtable, regional leaders David Bach of Unity House of Troy, Inc., Scott DeMarco of CAPTAIN Community Human Services, Elizabeth Martin of Living Resources New York, and Christine Smoot Lowers of Hometown Health Center (HHC) came together to talk through how organizations are adapting in real time.

Smoot Lowers highlighted that while demand for services continues to rise, funding is becoming less predictable. That shift is pushing organizations like HHC to look at new ways to diversify revenue and explore additional service lines, especially as more patients face coverage gaps and higher out-of-pocket costs.

The conversation made one thing clear: non-profits are being asked to do more with less stability, and innovation is becoming part of the job.

Team Rueckert Advertising had a busy weekend supporting our clients’ marketing, social media, PR, and event coverage efforts across the region.

On Saturday, we were proud to support the Firefighters Association of the State of New York 2nd Annual Lake George Training Symposium, which welcomed more than 140 attendees and nearly tripled attendance from last year. Volunteer firefighters from across New York gathered for a weekend of education, leadership, networking, and collaboration focused on strengthening the state’s volunteer fire service.

Sunday brought two major events at Saratoga Performing Arts Center for Maria College. In the morning, we celebrated Commencement for the Class of 2026 as more than 200 graduates crossed the stage ready to begin the next chapter of their careers. In the afternoon, 146 future nurses were honored during the Nursing Pinning Ceremony, recognizing their dedication and commitment to healthcare.

We’re grateful to work alongside organizations making a difference in our communities and proud of our team for another successful weekend supporting clients across the Capital Region and beyond.

Yesterday was an exciting milestone for longtime client, Hometown Health Center, as they unveiled their new logo and tagline, “The Heartbeat of Community Health.”

The reveal took place during an All-Staff Meeting at the Ancient Order of Hibernians on State Street, where nearly 150 team members gathered to celebrate together.

The new identity reflects the voices of their staff and patients. After a survey and three design options, the HHC team selected the logo and tagline that best represent who they are and the care they provide every day.

Over the coming weeks, you will begin to see the new branding roll out across Hometown Health Centers.

They are proud to move forward as The Heartbeat of Community Health!
