Apples + short-term rental experiences = a winning match 🍎

Relentless worked with Airbnb to find ways to support New York's hard c***r industry as N.Y. Governor Kathy Hochul prioritized making the Empire State the true leader in hard c***r agri-tourism (similar to California with wines and Kentucky with bourbons).

With the emergence of the NY State of C***r, Airbnb teamed up with the New York C***r Association to promote destination experiences where c***ries are highlighted to potential travelers. Many of the state's c***ries are located in communities where a short-term rental stay may be more convienient than a hotel or motel.

Our team was instrumental in working with Airbnb and the C***r Association to move this from idea to reality.

Last week, Governor Hochul announced the partnership, saying in part, "The NY State of C***r campaign will showcase these assets to residents and visitors from around the country while creating new opportunities for farms, small businesses, restaurants, and tourism destinations. Through the New York C***r Association’s partnership with Airbnb and the State’s investment in the future of agricultural tourism, we're inviting more people to experience the very best of New York."

Unidos, somos más!

Today marks the beginning of National Hispanic Heritage Month, honoring the history, culture, and contributions of Latinos here in the United States and around the world.

Sept. 15 marks the beginning of the month - coinciding with the independence anniversaries of El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rico, followed by Mexico on Sept. 16, and Chile on Sept. 18. The celebrations continue through Oct. 15.

"Where were you on September 11th?" 🗽

In a blink of an eye, 25 years has passed.

That morning, a sunny Tuesday, our team was:

- Starting 2L in law school
- In freshman year at Kingsborough Community College
- In fhysics class in high school
- Goofing off in high school
- Being dropped off at Elementary school
- Finished dropping off their kids horseback riding
- Not born yet
- An infant

All those years later, we remember the 2,977 who perished that day in Lower Manhattan, in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and Arlington - and the thousands who perished from recovery-related illnesses, from the Global War on Terror, and the families of the victims who will never be able to fill that void.

We'll never forget.

(“MetroTranspo”), a Washington, D.C.-based transportation planning and operations management services firm, and Relentless Awareness LLC (“Relentless”), a communications and creative strategy firm, announced a strategic alliance designed to expand the capabilities, geographic reach, and specialized expertise available to their clients.

Through the alliance, MetroTranspo and Relentless will jointly pursue and support selected projects requiring both transportation expertise and effective public communication. Potential assignments include transit and mobility planning, transportation operations, stakeholder outreach, community engagement, public affairs, and communications for complex transportation initiatives.

Look who got upgraded 🛫

Congratulations to Pat Cavanagh and Nerissa Peralta on their recent promotions to Production Manager and Director of Content Strategy, respectively.

Pat, as a key member of our Production and Creative Services team based in Albany, works with clients to tell their story on screen. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Pat returned to Relentless (started as an intern with us) after working with WRGB CBS-6 as a news photographer. His work has been exemplary and we're very fortunate to have him on the team.

Nerissa, a graduate of the University at Albany, started her journey with Relentless as an intern and over the past four years, has served in a variety of roles from account coordinator, account manager, and digital and social media lead. Nerissa works with our clients to ensure their message is being told to a variety of audiences, managing myriad projects, and now helping lead our operations in New York City and beyond. Hard-working and determined, Nerissa gets the job done.

Albany's weekend to shine 🌷

This weekend, New York's capital city will celebrate the 78th annual Tulip Festival, honoring the city's Dutch heritage and connection, in addition to highlighting its official flower, the tulip.

Nearly 80 years ago, post World War II, Albany sent 300 tons of humanitarian aid o the Dutch city of Nijmegen. As a gesture of gratitude and thanks, Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands sent 2,000 tulip bulbs to Albany the following year, which bloomed in Washington Park and sparked the inception of Tulip Festival.

If you are in the Albany area, make a visit to the park and check out the vendors, the music, and of course - the tulips.

Whether it's your first time or you've been going to decades, the energy is truly electric. Enjoy the weekend.
