Drawing 6 of 6. This is the last drawing of the series, and I was short on time to finish—so I ‘cheated’. I used a photo overlay to quickly and accurately draw the windows. So many windows. I needed accuracy and speed for this so it all worked, but generally speaking, tracing a photo will almost always look stiff and less interesting than drawing from direct observation. This building is referred to as the Bleachery. It’s where cotton fabric was bleached white so many years ago. Now, it’s just a big old empty space with a roof. Great for storing odds and ends, and dreaming up ideas of how it could be converted into a useful work space if money where no object.
