🚒 ODNR Division of Forestry Facilitates Fire Engine Transfer for Local Fire Protection🚒

Through the Federal Excess Personal Property (FEPP) Program, ODNR Forestry facilitated the transfer of a 2015 Ford F-550 Type 6 wildland fire engine previously owned by the Wayne National Forest to the Murray City Volunteer Fire Department. The engine is equipped with a 300-gallon slip-in unit and replaces a 1985 Chevrolet pickup truck, providing Murray City VFD with a safer, more reliable resource for wildland and rural fire response. The apparatus has an estimated acquisition value of $118,827.

Programs like FEPP help strengthen partnerships between federal, state, and local agencies while ensuring fire departments have access to critical equipment to protect their communities and natural resources.
