These days just about every business is online in some way, in fact encountering a business’ website is often the first way people interact with most businesses.

This coupled with the fact that a majority of businesses are now 100% online, means that the impression your website leaves on potential customers is more important than ever. If you're wondering how you leave a good impression, the answer is good design.

Busy layouts, lack of navigation aids, boring web design, pop up advertisements, slow introductions to a site (splash pages, slow-loading flash introductions, etc), small print, and too much text are the most common complaints consumers have about websites they don't like.

Take note of websites that draw you in and consider using some of their tactics on your own site. If you need help, reach out.

Our history is filled with examples of the bravery and strength of women, particularly in times of crisis. Women served during World War II, led organization efforts during the Civil Rights movement, and represented the US in the fight for human rights. Unfortunately, their heroic efforts and stories have gone untold, especially the millions of Black and immigrant women who have done so much for our country.

I'll be joining the countless others celebrating women this whole month! Cheers to all of you and all of the great work you're doing!

I'm so thankful to have been able to pursue and achieve my dreams throughout my life. My family is amazing, I love being a designer and photographer, and we have the greatest little pup. Currently I'm cooking up some new dreams and working on bringing them to fruition.

One of my favorite events is our Diner en Blanc, a big white party that friends and I host in Albuquerque. I had the pleasure of experiencing Chef Marc Quinones' food at one of our parties and it was absolutely incredible.

Whitespace in design is the space between screen elements or negative space. On a webpage, it is between buttons, images, links, and text. You might think it a waste of space, but it is very purposeful; it creates harmony and balance.

Designers use whitespace to make websites look simple and uncluttered and to direct our site visitors to the information we want them to receive.
