Lately, the news is all about the masses of employees quitting their jobs this past August at a record high. But is this necessarily a bad thing? I quit my job almost a year ago in November.

This change could be the swift kick in bud that most employers need to come to realization. Employees are tired, broke down and need a mental health break that employers just are not willing to give or don't realize the importance.

1. Most employees, especially seen during this pandemic, are expected to go above and beyond their scope of work with little to no additional compensation.
2. Working from home made it increasingly harder to separate work and home life. For most, going home used to be an escape but what happens when you cannot physically remove yourself, especially when you live in a small space.
3. Mental health is truly coming to the forefront. The conversation of mental health is reaching the ranks and given the attention it deserves.
4. A boom in creativity and entrepreneurship is growing. It's been incredible to see so many individuals, partnerships, etc start to take leaps and bounds to pursue things they love or find passion in what they're trying to accomplish.
5. Employers are starting to wake up to the realization that employee health and happiness is essential. The fight for increased minimum wage, benefits and mental health days are now an important topic.

It's a ingrained in many designer are marketing professionals heads that color is not only any art but a science. It's a language of emotions.

𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗸𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁, 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿, 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗺...

Color 101 teaches us that corporate colors of blue make a trustworthy business and brings a customer to rely on you. But as we've seen through the decades -- languages change.

Social media has brought an array of colorful-ness to brands we haven't seen much in the past. And gone are the 2-color logo pallets. As of late,, we've been seeing a trend of monotone logos to allow for flexibility and complimentary colors to join a brand's personality.

Not to say the science of color doesn't still exist but the expectations of consumers have changed in what they look for in a brand. Many are seeking a human side and personal connection to a brand.

Never regret taking a chance, there's always some opportunities behind that risk.

As I join my client 1EATZ in celebrating their incredible success over the year for their anniversary, I look back at all of the scary changes I made in my life over the course of a year and the amazing relationships I've built.

1Eatz was a small upcoming business that took a chance on a small time influencer with only a few hundred followers and from there my life as an influencer evolved. Our relationship bloomed over the year and when the opportunity came about, they took the leap of faith to hire me so we could grow together.

I've had my ups and downs of bad choices but overall, I've learned so much and grew.

So this is a special shot out to my dear friend and incredible client. Happy Anniversary and I can't wait to see what the future brings for you.

𝗧𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝘀, 𝗜 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂. 💔❤️

From ex-significant others, ex-friends, ex-managers, we've all had them and we've all survived them. When we look back at our lives, we praise our successes by thanking that incredible mentor of yours or that supportive best friend. But I want to take this moment to thank all of the awful exes. Without them, I would've be who I am today.

I thank my skillset to one of my exes. The relationship didn't end well, but it was long years of him teaching me and helping me become the designer I am today. He helped me harness the creativity deep down inside I didn't even know I had.

To the ex-managers who didn't trust me, micro-managed my work and treated me with unfairness, I wouldn't have grown the thicker skin and had the motivation build meaningful relationships outside of that bubble to help me achieve the goals I sought after. And to this day those network of relationships is what helped me climb the ladder at other organizations and helps build the foundation my business lives on today. Thank you for driving me away so that I can become a better me.

𝙎𝙤 𝙬𝙝𝙮 𝙖𝙢 𝙄 𝙨𝙖𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨? Because as the cliché saying goes, "There's always a light at the end of the tunnel." What I want you to think about is how to seek all the opportunities and possibilities that are out there for you, this darkness could just be a foggy light that needs a good cleaning.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀. Not all marketing campaigns are a winner but there's opportunity in growth, to learn and to make it better. Or sometimes, like an ex, it's just not right for you and it's time to start anew. Don't get discouraged. We live in a great digital age with data at your fingertips. Utilize those marketing tools that are available to you and data mine for that opportunity amongst the flopped relationships/campaigns.

This relationship means so much to me because this is one of the first influencer collabs I did when I was first starting out with my account.

𝙃𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙤. 𝗜'𝗺 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿.

Now before you go running through the hills and hitting the unfollow button hear me out. I, too, hate the term "influencer." Why? Because it's synonymous to negativity because of a bad bunch -- much like the dreaded term "millenial."

I did not walk down this path on purpose. I did it because of my passion for creativity and marketing. I instantly fell in love with the brands and the community I quickly became a part of and it fueled my love for marketing even further.

Not only was I enjoying myself but I am driven to helping these businesses succeed. The more I learned of their start, their mission and their passion for what they do. The more I wanted to put on my marketing hat.

I'm spotlighting one of my favorite and ongoing relationships OMG_Oh My Gim_Artisan Seaweed This incredible seaweed company is so passionate about seaweed. Not only to sell their products but to also educate everyone on the benefits of what seaweed can do for your health and for the environment. They took a chance on a small time account and helped me in my path to growth.
