What Being Behind the Camera Taught Me About People
I’ve learned that we all get nervous.
Just about everyone I’ve interviewed asks the same thing afterward:
“Did I do okay?”
“Did that sound alright?”
I always tell them they did just fine.
But moments like that always stay with me.
Because underneath the questions and second-guessing is something deeply human.
We all want to know we were heard.
We all want to know we were understood.
That’s a big part of why I do this work.
To tell stories with a level of care people can actually feel.
