Yesterday, I interviewed Trinity Thompson and as part of my ongoing market research to re-brand Nathalia Bailey Consulting as an email marketing agency.
Trinity is a friend from who served as Director of Experiential & Community Learning at The College Preparatory School, one of the nation’s top private schools. Lo was my manager at and is now successfully operating Salome Market in Arizona!
These 2 amazing, strategic ladies gave me insights I couldn't have on my own.
My MAIN TAKEAWAY?
Marketing is usually the LAST thing on a business owner’s mind! 🤯
There are plenty of other issues to deal with, including:
🚨 Employee management
🔥 Employee hiring & firing
🆘 Office politics
🧯 Fires to put out
🏥 Customer complaints
👾 Bad customers
💥 Good customers!
And the list goes on...
With so many urgent demands, it’s not surprising that most businesses put off the IMPORTANT task of creating strategies for long-term growth.
Until it’s too late.
And then business growth becomes just another fire 🔥, because business is stalled or tanking.
Being reminded of this reality, my question to businesses becomes:
⭐What will motivate you to proactively plan for your business’ long-term growth & marketing?⭐
🚒 Is it enough to know that if you don’t, you’ll eventually crash and burn, either temporarily or permanently?
💸 What about the possibility of creating more freedom of time and increasing profit? Is that what will motivate you to be proactive?
🆘 Or will you believe, like so many businesses before you, that it won’t happen to you? Is being on the verge of losing your business the only driver that will motivate you to change?
I don’t fully know the answer. I’m trying to find out, and I’d appreciate any feedback that can help me get there.
I’ve worked with businesses motivated by all 3 of the above. Some are driven by their hopes & aspirations. Some by their pain & disappointments.
I’d sure love for businesses to come to me BEFORE they feel the pain.
