Because sometimes you need to resort to old school tactics to make sure the customer gets what they want.



Fun fact, did you know that most blacksmith shops were intentionally built with low lighting? The reason being because at different temperatures the metal they worked with would change colors, and for them to be able to see the change it was preferred to work in less light.

With the weather we had last week, it's definitely beginning to feel like Fall has arrived. That means that apple season has begun in the local orchards all over the North country.

What better way to celebrate a staple of our region's commerce than the 41st annual Applefest weekend in Peru, NY! The event kicks off with a parade through town starting at 11, and at the St. Augustine's Parish Hall there will be vendors set up with everything from apple based treats to games and rides for the kids.

We will be there once again this year with a display of some of our stock items, and the design crew will be there for you to bounce off any ideas you may have for custom orders as well.

Remember, we don't only make art, we encourage local contractors, farmers, and fabricators to also stop by and see what we can offer for you.

As always thank you for all of your support, feel free to like/share our page/posts and spread the word of such a great event the community can enjoy.

Good evening everyone,

First, we all here would like to thank everyone who came out and spent time with us this weekend.

Second, those of you who have ordered custom pieces.. they were started today and still are on schedule.

Third, to everyone who couldn't make it or are still on the line about checking us out... I encourage you to reach out! Whether it be phone, text, email, Facebook, whatever you're comfortable with... we are excited to work with you!

Last, but definitely not least... The winner of this year's raffle drawing...

Good morning Facebook!

The weather for the day seems to be looking pretty good for our neck of the woods today!

For anyone who was bummed out by the rain yesterday the sale here in town carries over to today, and we've seen quite a few spots already open and some are just finishing up setting up stuff.

Grab the family and come out for a beautiful Sunday ride...

Feel free to stop in and say hi, also our raffle finishes up today. So make sure you get your tickets before 7:30pm, the drawing will be at 8!

Sorry for the delay!

It's been a busy morning here in the shop. Our display is all inside so if you're looking for a dry place to hide swing on by!

Here's this year's mystery piece!

It measures 34" wide by 46" tall, and is completely coated in a durable copperish green powder coat! Perfect to display as a background in a garden or make it a part of your fence/rail.

Tickets are $5.00 for 1 or $15.00 for 5, make sure to swing by and get a chance! I can still see the bottom of the bucket, so chances are still high!

Even if you're not planning on buying, feel free to swing by and meet the team!

Good evening Facebook! What are you all to this weekend?!? We know where we'll be. This weekend August, 4th and 5th the town of Altona will be holding it's annual Town Wide Garage Sale. That means all weekend long we'll be set up at the shop with some goodies you can take home right then and there or Shawn will be at the computer drawing your design for you in real time. So what does that mean for you the customer? First, if you've ever thought about giving us a call or sending us a message.. you'll have a opportunity to meet with our team in a laid back atmosphere and can openly discuss your ideas about what your next project might hold. Second, skip the wait on drawing times and watch your very own customized piece start from a raw piece of steel grow to a cut and prepped piece waiting to hit the oven. 3rd all design fees are waived! Lastly, come be a part of our annual mystery raffle. Tickets will be $5 a piece or $15 for 5. Stay tuned for more to come on the raffle!

Things have been busy so far this spring, from return customers to new alike, we are humbled and excited to be allowed to keep putting out the best work we can offer to you all. More pictures of recent projects will be out soon! Today we couldn't help but to take advantage of the beautiful weather to do a little photoshoot with one of our newest additions to the fire department line up. Check out this 30" Maltese Cross we did for a customer all the way out in Texas! If you'd like to add our newest monogramed edition to your wall as a sign of family tradition, with a sign tough enough to last for many more generations, as always feel free to call or shoot us a message and we'd be happy to help! Did you know we do more than just make art? Our table can cut up to 3/4 inch steel, making it perfect for part making for all types of equipment and vehicles. Check out these pictures of a project we worked on a couple weeks ago. Rock's Garage in Peru reached out to us again after our first complete panel makeover of one of his trucks, unfortunately I didn't snap pictures in time, however this time I did! Unfortunately for this truck it had a minor incident with a pine tree, completely bending and messing up the decking, the pictures show how quickly rust got to it, fortunately there was enough left to measure up and recreate the entire back for them. These new parts were cut out of 1/8th steel, beefing up the thinner stuff that it will be replacing. I haven't been over to see the finished product yet, but we received a call saying that everything lined up perfectly.
