MEET DR. RIVERA Calo Foot & Ankle Specialists: Eugenio Rivera, DPM
A career shaped by knowledge. A commitment rooted in people.
For Eugenio Rivera, DPM, FACFAS, the path to medicine began with a personal realization: his passion was caring for patients. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, he earned degrees in biology and health services administration before pursuing podiatric medicine at Barry University and completing his residency at South Miami Hospital.

His experience spans foot and ankle medicine and surgery, diabetic foot care, wound care and limb salvage. Along the way, he also participated in residency teaching and a children’s medical program in Mérida, Mexico.

Serving Houston since 2014, Dr. Rivera is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. At Calo Foot & Ankle Specialists, PLLC, ongoing education remains part of the team’s commitment to patient care.

AN EVENING OF ART, LEADERSHIP & CONNECTION.

It was a pleasure to attend the Huffington Award Dinner honoring Charles C. Foster with the Lifetime Achievement Award, with a conversation moderated by Roberto Contreras IV.

One of the evening’s personal highlights was meeting and speaking with Hung Hsien, also known as Margaret Chang, whose art brings traditional Chinese painting into conversation with Western abstraction. What an honor to connect with the artist recognized with the evening’s Game Changer Award for Innovation.

The celebration also recognized ExxonMobil for Corporate Citizenship and The Faris Foundation as Community Partner, bringing together people whose contributions reach across art, business and community life.

Thank you, Roberto Contreras IV, for the kind invitation and the opportunity to share such a memorable evening. As someone who helps families find their place in Houston, I love experiencing the people, culture and connections that make this city feel like home.
