"This project highlights the North Heights Advisory Association's hard work in the North Heights neighborhood and the city's strong partnership with neighborhoods to work towards revitalization,” said Chris Jackson, the City of Amarillo's Neighborhood Planner.
“We wanted to do this because we want to restore hope in our community,” said Melodie Graves, President of the North Heights Advisory Association.. Graves emphasized the importance of the artwork being both created by and representative of the community.
