I recently had the opportunity to create this piece for The Brothers In Law, a nonprofit based in Le Sueur County, Minnesota, that is doing important work for the men and women who spend their lives showing up for others.

Their mission includes supporting the mental, physical, and spiritual well-being of first responders—giving them opportunities to step away, reconnect, recharge, and have real conversations with people who understand the weight that can come with the job.
This sign will be going into one of their mobile wellness trailers, which helps bring that support directly to first responders.

Behind every badge, uniform, and call for help is a person. A spouse. A parent. A son or daughter. A friend. And sometimes the people who are always there when someone else needs help need a place to breathe, too.

I’m incredibly grateful that Legacy Laserworks could contribute a small piece to what The Brothers In Law is building.

Today's custom patch was for a 🐕👮 K9 Officer with the in !

The eagle crest on the department's patch was a beast in it's own to put together, but I think it turned out great! The patch included a custom rocker above it with the officer/ k9's name.

A recent promotion of a Deputy Fire Chief 👨🏻‍🚒 in my hometown gave me an idea for my next sign.

Andover, MN has a great team of figherfighters🚒. I see these men and women training at Fire 1 all the time, and I can’t recall a single community event where they weren’t out there talking with the people they serve.

So, thank you for all that you do for — and Deputy Chief DeRung, this one is for you and it's headed your way!

My first paid gig in 🚨👮🚔 was as a Community Service Officer with the in Circle Pines, MN when this patch design first went into service. At the time, I wore badge 302.

More than a decade later, someone else is wearing 302, so I decided to make this Centennial Lakes Police patch sign and gift it to the CSO carrying that badge today as a complete surprise!

Pretty cool seeing the same patch, the same agency, and the same badge number all these years later.

From 302 to 302, you should have it soon!

This one was just too fun not to make. 🎰

I took the classic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada” sign and recreated it as a fully layered wood sign out of birch. Lots of separate pieces, a lot of painting, and plenty of time getting everything lined up just right.

The finished sign is roughly 37" wide by 36" tall, so it definitely makes a statement on the wall. I love projects like this where I can take something instantly recognizable and turn it into an actual dimensional piece.
