How do I get this broken prong out without accidentally becoming part of the circuit?
I live in an apartment, so I can’t just go flip the breaker off myself. The prong snapped off inside the GFCI outlet, and now I’m trying to figure out the safest way to remove it.
Can I shut the outlet off with the test button and pull it out with rubber-handled pliers, or is that a terrible idea and I should just call maintenance before I turn this into an incident report?
Electrical people, talk me out of doing something dumb..

Client is trying to withhold the final payment over the deck footings, saying the posts “aren’t centered enough” and that it looks unsafe. In reality, the brackets are fully secured, the load is sitting solid, and the beam has proper full contact where it actually matters............

Hired a handyman to remove this half-wall and thought everything was moving forward smoothly. He quoted $900 for the project and requested a $500 deposit upfront.

He arrived, taped off the work area, set his drill down, and told me he needed to make a quick trip to the store for a tool blade. That was the last I saw of him.

Now my calls are going unanswered, messages aren't being returned, and the only thing left behind is his drill sitting on a shelf in my house. Needless to say, this project didn't go as planned....................

I am actually losing sleep over this driveway job. We paid $15,800 for what was supposed to be a “brand new asphalt driveway” and now I’m watching them literally pave over the existing concrete slab. No demolition, no removal… just a layer of black asphalt spread across it like it’s a giant patch. When I asked one of the guys he said, “It bonds fine.” BONDS FINE?? I feel like we just paid car money for what is basically a cosmetic cover-up. What happens when that concrete underneath starts shifting or cracking?? Am I overreacting or does this seem like cutting a huge corner??
