Our favorite aspect of owning a marketing company in Brazoria County for the last 8 years is all of our clients we are blessed to call friends.

For this BC Spotlight, we sat down with Fred Ortiz, founder of Help, Inc. to talk about what they’d be doing in another life, hidden talents, and the advice they’d give all of us as we get older.

At Market Design Team, getting to know the people behind a business is a big part of what we do. Because great marketing starts with understanding who you are, what you do, and the people you serve.

Take a few minutes to get to know Help, Inc. and a little more about the businesses we’re lucky to work with right here in Brazoria County.

Your website doesn’t have to be broken to be outdated.
Technology changes, and a website that worked well for your business years ago may not be keeping up today. Slow load times, a poor mobile experience, outdated technology, and weaker search visibility can all get in the way.
But if you already have good content and photos, you may not need to start over.
That’s why we created The Flip.
We take what’s already working and rebuild it on modern website technology, giving you a faster, more responsive website with advanced SEO and a better user experience. The best part? The process takes just a few weeks and requires very little time from you.
Keep what works. Flip what doesn’t.

It's time for our next—and final (for now)—Canva Design Challenge.
This week, the assignment was press passes for Britney Doyal. The rules stayed the same: Canva only.
The best part of this series isn't seeing who makes the "better" design. It's seeing how two designers can start with the exact same prompt and end up with completely different solutions.
This is our last challenge for a little while as Stella heads back to school. It's been fun pushing our creativity, working within Canva's limitations, and watching this series come to life.
So... if you had backstage access, which pass would you want hanging around your neck? Team Riley or Team Stella? Let us know in the comments!

Challenge #3 is here!
This week, Riley (Junior Designer) and Stella (Intern) took on business cards for none other than... ourselves at Market Design Team.
Same assignment. Same platform. One rule: Canva only.
Business cards may be small, but they're one of the first impressions your brand makes. Every choice matters, from typography and hierarchy to color and layout.
Stella continues to level up with each challenge, and it's been awesome watching her confidence grow along the way.
Now it's your turn. Which card would you be more likely to keep in your wallet? Team Riley or Team Stella? Cast your vote in the comments!

Round two of our Canva Design Challenge is here.
This time, Riley (Junior Designer) and Stella (Intern) took on movie posters using the same film: Obsession.
One challenge. One movie. One design platform. Two completely different creative directions.
As Stella continues learning the fundamentals of graphic design, it's been fun to watch her confidence and creativity grow with each challenge. Every project is another opportunity to try something new, learn a new technique, and sharpen her eye for design.
So, what do you think? Which poster would make you want to watch the movie? Team Riley or Team Stella?
Drop your vote in the comments, and stay tuned for the next challenge!

One of our favorite parts of what we do is getting to discover and celebrate the businesses and organizations that make our community special.
This week, we had the opportunity to attend the double ribbon cutting for Scholars Source and Artist Alliance. Congratulations to both organizations on this exciting milestone. We can't wait to see the impact you'll continue to make in our community.
We're grateful to be part of moments like these.

Introducing our newest design challenge.
Over the next few weeks, Riley (our Junior Designer) and Stella (our Intern) will be taking on a series of creative exercises with one rule:
We can ONLY use Canva.
No Illustrator. No Photoshop. No shortcuts.
Our first challenge was designing a CD cover. While Riley has experience as a designer, Stella is just getting started in graphic design, so it's been fun to see how each of us approaches the same prompt with different ideas and skill sets.
Design isn't about having the fanciest software. It's about learning, experimenting, and growing with every project.
Now it's your turn. Which cover is your favorite? Team Riley or Team Stella? Let us know in the comments, and keep an eye out for the next challenge.

Great content doesn't happen by accident.
Here's a behind-the-scenes look at our recent photo and video shoot with Crenshaw & Purvis. Every shoot is a mix of planning, creativity, collaboration, and a little bit of controlled chaos, all with one goal: creating content that genuinely represents the businesses we work with.
Shoutout to Shane Dante Jennings for absolutely crushing it behind the camera. Thanks for helping make this shoot happen!

Apparently, dating a designer means your camera roll is no longer entirely your own.
Behind every good photo is probably someone saying, “Wait, don’t move. The lighting is good.”

"What's in a name?" Shakespeare asked the question centuries ago. We thought we'd borrow it.
A logo gives people something to recognize, but it doesn't tell them who you are. Your brand is the reputation you build, the experience you create, and the trust you earn over time.

Every interaction shapes your brand. From your website and social media to your customer service, printed materials, and the quality of your work, each touchpoint tells customers what they can expect from your business. Those experiences become the story people remember and the reason they choose to come back.

That's why branding is about so much more than designing a logo. It's about creating a consistent identity that reflects who you are, what you stand for, and the promises you make to your customers.

And that consistency matters. When your business looks, sounds, and feels familiar across every platform and interaction, it becomes easier to recognize, easier to remember, and easier to trust. Brand consistency helps turn individual interactions into one clear, cohesive experience.

A great logo helps people recognize your business.

A great brand gives them a reason to remember it.

Because, at the end of the day, a business is more than the mark it bears.
