We're excited to congratulate our client Wayne Products on the launch of their new site on Shopify. 🎉

The project included the consolidation of three web properties into one streamlined eCommerce experience.

Human Element established the core site architecture, eCommerce framework, migration approach, and product data structure. Wayne Products staff took a hands-on role in the final customer experience, creating the product imagery, site design direction, and customer-facing copy while also developing and refining custom Shopify code and structured product data for the company’s complex industrial catalog.

“Working with the Human Element team was a genuine pleasure from start to finish. They made a complex project feel easy, and we couldn’t be happier with the result,” said Ginny Williams, president of Wayne Products. “The new site gives our customers a far more intuitive way to find the product that best fits their application. We pride ourselves on our customer service, and this streamlined format makes it simple for them to find exactly what they need.”

Shopify isn’t treating AI as a side feature. It’s increasingly designing its platform around a future where AI agents help developers build, manage, and interact with commerce.

Gary Goodman breaks down where Shopify appears to be heading — and why that direction matters well beyond Shopify itself — in our latest Human Element roundtable discussion about the state of eCommerce platforms.

We explore the shift, and what it means for the future of eCommerce platforms, in our latest blog post.

Also on the panel this time are Paul Briscoe, Kevin Gardner, Emily Kania, Nidhi Patel, and Rafael Shkembi.

AI is reshaping how brands get discovered and how content gets created — but most marketing teams are still playing catch-up. Join us on September 29 at 12pm eastern for a webinar that will cover two critical shifts happening right now:

👀 AI Visibility: How AI-powered search (think ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity) is changing the way people find brands — and what marketers need to do to stay visible in AI-generated answers, not just traditional search results.

✍️ AI Content Generation: How to use AI tools to produce high-quality marketing content at scale — without sacrificing brand voice, accuracy, or authenticity.

Human Element client strategy team members Dane Dickerson and Jordan McKinley will present this session hosted by Michigan Manufacturers Association.

Attendees will walk away with practical strategies they can apply immediately, including:

- Frameworks for integrating AI content tools into existing workflows
- Real-world examples of what's working (and what's not) in AI-powered marketing
- How to maintain quality and trust while increasing content velocity

We'll see you there!

We recently gathered a group of our humans in a roundtable format to discuss the state of eCommerce platforms in 2026.

For years, the platform decision was relatively straightforward: choose the system that offered the right combination of features, integrations, scalability, and cost, then build your eCommerce experience around it. That model isn’t exactly disappearing, but it is becoming a lot less rigid.

Case in point: vibe coding is something we're hearing about more and more. Is it good idea to build an eCommerce platform via AI prompts? Paul Briscoe suggests a better way to approach it.

Read our blog post to learn more about how we see AI helping with commerce, how the major platforms on the market are performing for B2B, and how the developer's role is changing.

Also on the panel this time are Kevin Gardner, Gary Goodman, Emily Kania, Nidhi Patel, and Rafael Shkembi.

There are still B2B industries where eCommerce adoption has been surprisingly slow. But customer expectations aren’t waiting.

Buyers increasingly expect to be able to check availability, find pricing, place an order, review invoices, and do business when it’s convenient for them—not only when a sales rep is available.
That doesn’t mean eCommerce replaces the salesperson. Done well, it does the opposite.

It takes routine order entry off the sales team’s plate and gives reps more time to build relationships, solve problems, identify opportunities, and actually help customers.

In our recent episode of Beyond the Cart, Robert Rand of https://hubs.li/Q04vbWXl0 and Jason Magee of Human Element talk about why having a strong eCommerce experience is no longer optional—and how digital commerce and human relationships can work together instead of competing with each other.

Today we're celebrating another milestone anniversary! 🎉

Congratulations to Ilir Spaho who celebrates 5 years with us this month. During his time, he has worked on client projects such as Electro-Matic, DocShop Pro, Ford, NoIR, Pentair, Duallane, and more.

In his own words:
"What I value most about working at Human Element is the people and the trust that comes with the work. Over these five years I've been able to grow constantly, take on challenging projects, and collaborate with a team that genuinely supports each other. It's a place where good work is recognized and where I've always felt encouraged to keep learning."

Your eCommerce platform is only as good as the data flowing into and out of it. And in B2B, that data rarely lives in one place.

Inventory might come from a WMS. Pricing may live in the ERP. Product content could come from a PIM. Customer information may need to sync with a CRM. Then an order has to make its way through accounting, fulfillment, sales, and potentially several other systems.

That’s where eCommerce integrations get complicated fast.

Human Element’s Jason Magee recently sat down with Robert Rand of https://hubs.li/Q04txQVP0 to talk about why understanding your data flows—and establishing a clear source of truth for each one—is such an important part of eCommerce planning.

In this clip from our podcast, Beyond the Cart, hear Jason and Robert discuss why the goal isn’t just to connect systems, it’s to make the entire tech stack work together.
