✨ NEW REVIEW ✨

We’re delighted to share a beautiful new review of harpist and composer April Stace’s Aphelion from Jonathan Widran at The JW Vibe.

Described as an “unusually vivid musical memoir,” Aphelion transforms a deeply personal season of divorce, an empty nest, solitude and a journey through New Mexico into 14 original compositions exploring loss, uncertainty, discovery and the possibility of beginning again.

Widran highlights the remarkable range April draws from the harp, moving far beyond its traditional associations with tranquility and delicacy to explore contemporary classical, ambient, jazz and world music influences.

Throughout the album, darkness and light coexist: grief alongside wonder, solitude alongside renewal, and deep resonant tones alongside moments of illumination.

🌿 Perhaps the review’s most beautiful reflection:

“Being far from what once felt familiar can open a strange and beautiful space for becoming someone new.”

We’re thrilled to share this beautiful new review of Hargun Kaur & Kirti Varsani’s Surrender from Jonathan Widran at The JW Vibe.

Widran describes Surrender as a “deeply immersive collaboration” that brings together sacred tradition and contemporary sound with “remarkable grace.”

The six-track collection weaves sacred shabads, original lyrics, chant, ambient textures, orchestral colors and hypnotic rhythms into a musical journey of contemplation, reverence and oneness.

The review also shines a spotlight on the duo’s bonus single “Chandaliyo,” celebrating its exhilarating East-West fusion of traditional Indian percussion, horns, electronic textures, hip-hop rhythms and layered chants.

🌿 “Honoring spiritual heritage without treating it as something frozen in time.”

Samir Bodhi Chatterjee built Fractured Reflections around a simple question: what holds a person together when the pieces they came from feel scattered.

The answer arrives across five compositions that move between
orchestral scoring, Indian classical tradition, and contemporary New Age textures. Nothing here is separated into two worlds. A raga line sits inside a string arrangement. A jazz phrase closes out a melody rooted in devotional music. Bodhi has spent his career working this way, and on this record the blending feels less like a technique and more like how he actually hears.
