February isn’t just about Black History Month and romance. For me, it’s about renewal, commitment, and your personal relationship.

At 56, I had to look in the mirror and admit something hard: I had poured love into relationships, careers, dreams… but I hadn’t consistently poured it into myself.
I was loyal to everyone else.
Committed to everyone else.
Showing up for everyone else.

But I wasn’t fully showing up for me.

There was a morning not long ago where I sat quietly with my coffee and realized I had two choices — replay the past or renew my life. I could keep rehearsing what didn’t work… or I could rebuild from the inside out. That morning, I chose renewal. Not because it was easy. But because my peace depended on it.

Starting over at 56 isn’t about chasing youth. It’s about reclaiming truth. It’s about forgiving yourself for what you didn’t know. Releasing timelines you thought you had to meet.

Letting go of the “should have been.” And deciding that the relationship that matters most — the one with you — deserves devotion.

This is what February is for me.

Renew your relationship with your mind.
Renew your commitment to your growth.
Renew your belief that your best years are not behind you — they’re being built right now.

Self-love isn’t selfish. It’s spiritual alignment. It’s waking up and saying, “God, help me see myself the way YOU see me.” It’s choosing discipline over doubt. Faith over fear. Expansion over excuses.

And here’s what I know: when your mindset shifts, your life shifts. When your inner dialogue changes, your direction changes.
