will be closing Canyon Lake, including Forest Service Roads and recreational sites in the surrounding area, beginning Sept. 8, 2026, to Feb. 28, 2027.

State Route 88 (Apache Trail) will remain open.

This temporary closure order is in preparation for the Salt River Project’s (SRP) Canyon Lake Drawdown Project, which will lower water levels to allow for critical dam safety inspections and maintenance.

SRP has great information about the Canyon Lake Drawdown Project in their website, including answers to frequently asked questions. https://www.srpnet.com/grid-water-management/water-management/lakes/canyon-lake-drawdown-project.

🚢✨ 40 & Fabulous: The Dolly Glow-Up

Our cruises may be taking a little pause, but things certainly aren't going to be quiet around here!

The Dolly will be coming out of the water soon, and while SRP prepares for the upcoming Canyon Lake project, we're getting ready for a project of our own. 👀

Next year, the Dolly Steamboat turns 40! 🎉 And we think 40 deserves a little spa treatment, don't you?

Over the coming months, we'll be taking you behind the scenes as she gets some well-deserved TLC and a little glow-up before her big birthday. 🚢✨

We'll share photos, progress, some Dolly history, old memories and probably a few surprises along the way.

So stick around—you've officially got a backstage pass to the Dolly Glow-Up! 💙
